I so want to get a live SuperBowl one day. It would be awesome.
perverse in an email said:Ahhh it was f**king amazing. It was basically a 4 Act symphony based on the key games and themes of the Zelda series. They had a video show and everything it was so sweet. They condensed each of the games into an act, it went Overture Main Zelda Theme + some adaptions of some favourite tunes + a medley of all the ocarina songs from Ocarina of Time, then onto Act I Ocarina of Time (N64) in which they played a heap of themes from the game, Act II The Windwaker (Gamecube- in which she actually conducted the symphony with a replica of the Windwaker baton, which was pure nerd fan service but cool then intermission. Act III was Twilight Princess (Wii) which was probably my favourite of the movements totes gave me chills, Act IV was A Link to the Past (SNES) and then there were 3 or 4 encores of various other themes (my favourites being Majoras Mask (N64) and The Ballad of the Windfish (Links Awakening Original Gameboy)). The Ballad of the Windfish was particularly awesome.
I was so hungover yesterday I forgot to make f**king wings for the f**king Superbowl. F**k!
Lay it on me, son (rofl...)Am I the only one that thinks it's strange there's a symphony based on a video game?
Go drink some Red Bull. I hear it will give you wings.
I went and saw The Legend of Zelda - Symphony of the Goddesses at the Opera House over the weekend. It was f**king incredible. Here is an excerpt of an email I just sent to a colleague of mine including links to my favourite parts of the show:

You'd probably call me strange if I told you I was going to see COD the musicalLay it on me, son (rofl...)
What's so strange about it? Video game music has been symphonic since noah had an ark, and video games are completely ingrained in modern culture.
Would I? News to me.You'd probably call me strange if I told you I was going to see COD the musical
... does it help that it was only a $15 cab ride to the Opera House?I hate you too...
You won't regret it, mate. Was super impressed with the Opera House, too... it was my first time there, and the acoustics were just astounding (as you'd expect).I shall listen to some of this later for sure.
Anyone who isn't a shitmerkin Steeler fan can probably find joy in it ;-)Well, this Superbowl is shit...
You should. And I wouldn't hold it against youWould I? News to me.
