That's odd Monk, the general impression I got was that it was clearly this gen's best JRPG.

I'll have to see who to trust, the general populous or Monk's crew.

May aswell pick it up imo. If you've got the time to play it i'm sure it's worthwhile. People are excited about it for a reason, maybe my mates are just yet to see it - or have been too hungover to get into it

 I thought FFXIII was great (tutorial aside) up until some point where I realised I had to spend a good 4 hours grinding if I wanted to continue playing the game.

nek minut traded it in.
I really enjoyed it too, dude. I thought the battle system was fresh and actually made grinding a pleasurable experience as you tested different paradigms in different situations and whatnot. unlike a lot of FF titles, timing was also very relevant... and every battle had a sense of urgency about it. I haven't picked up FFXIII-2 yet, but I heard they fixed a lot of grievances that people had with the first (the first 20 hours being on rails, for example), and that it's actually a stellar title in its own right. the Paradigm battle system + open world awesomeness = something I've gotta get my hands on soon.

all in all, i thought the payoff at the end of FFXIII was worth it, and when the game opened up a bit I thought it was great. I've had to argue against a lot of people to maintain this position, lol.... but most people who did make it through the first 20 hours generally find it to be a fantastic game.

I liked the ones on Super Nintendo, and I have played a lot of the 3D ones, but find the overwrought emo bullshit in the story too much to bear.

RPGs in general are not fun to me at all anymore.

Just looked at the JJJ Hottest 100, 101-200 songs... Much better then the actual top 100.. Amity Affliction, Parkway Drive and Dead Letter Circus all making an appearance.

I cop a bit of hate for this but I never really liked playing the GTA series. I just never really enjoyed the game/story - anything about it really.

FFXIII was actually the first Final Fantasy game I ever played, loved it tbh (till i stopped playing). Wanted to get more into the series but just haven't had the time.

COD isn't too bad. I just got over it reaaaaaally quickly. In high school it was all the rage though.

I prefer MOH over the other war games.

Don't know why, but it is the only war series i got into.

Resistance wasn't bad as a free game when i bought the PS3

COD is my favourite because the games are quick, the maps are good, weapons systems, perks and attachments just seem to be at a happy medium. The best thing I love about COD is the matchmaking. Without fail you can be starting a game within 1 minute after you do a search.

I have been playing HALO 4 for a bit and the matchmaking is just terrible compared to COD, on average it would take around 5 minutes or more to find a game and then get the right amount of players for it to start. Sometimes you will just be sitting there for ages waiting for like 1 extra player.

I guess the main reason I like the short fast games with great matchmaking is I dont have that much time for gaming and you can get the full experience with COD in short bursts.
