$38 is a parking fee in sydney not a fine

I was shocked when I flew into Sydney rented a car and went to Westfield in Parramatta, and discovered you have to pay for parking. That is greed maximised.

My cousin just got a ticket in the mail for running a red light in Sydney. The fine? $1,986. How the f*ck do you get such a heavy fine for a red light?

That's an impressive fine..

But at the end of the day it's a big sucked in to your cousin for being so f**king stupid!!

Harsh.. But fair :)

Jar of urine found hidden in plumbing at the Titans...wtf is going on.
Your comprehension skills fail you even in serious matters.

Jam Jar of urine (5 years old), found in the plumbing at Skilled Park (not "the Titans"). A ground used over that time period by the Titans, 15 other NRL clubs, Gold Coast Rugby Sevens, NRL & Indigenous All Stars, Australian Wallabies and the Gold Coast United A-League team.

But facts don't matter, right?

Ah, hopefully you're only down a grand a fortnight for the duration of your training!

Yeah, when I am appointed as a constable I am only down about $300 a fortnight. I will make that up in a few years and after about 5 or 6 years my pay will be well and truly a lot more then what I would be on in the Air Force. The police have a lot more pay increments.

Ipswich is actually a far cry short of the crime capital of QLD peopel assume it is. I pay less on my car insurance in Ipswich than i did in Brisbane as there is a lower crime rate. Ipswich is also now considered one of the safest cities in Australia, it also in the last few years won a worldwide competition as the most liveable mid size city in the world.

I have been here since 1999 and have never encountered any problems that you wouldn't encounter anywhere in Australia.

However I parked my car in Woodridge for 5 hours at night time and lost my mag wheels.

Nah you got me wrong I really don't care what people think of Ippy, in fact the longer the myth holds up about it being a run down derelict drug and crime fuelled area, the longer our rents and cost of living will stay down.

I get down that way a bit. Have friends at Karalee..

It's an out of the way place that backs onto the Bremer so it's flood prone, but it's a nice spot in the afternoons when the river is behaving its self.

Karalee and Karana downs is a nice area, I bought a place on the opposite side in Peak Crossing, then there is Springfield Springfield Lakes and a multitude of newer suburbs springing up. It is said to be the fastest growing area in QLD.

There used to be a decent golf course at karana downs..

Is it still there?

Springfield is huge now days, I was shocked going there recently after not being there for several years.

Yeah that's cool, hopefully my life will be set up by 60.

As 9701 said, Ipswich is pretty good, mostly contributed mayor Paul pissale. Crime rates are very low thanks to the introduction of CCTV. But there is still plenty of work for police. Dad always said to me though, if you ever want to learn almost everything about policing in your first year then go to beenleigh/Logan.

They have massive plans for Springfield/Springfield lakes, what you see now is only the beginning. The shopping centre for one is meant to expand to one of the biggest in qld.

No doubt, I called him dumb for doing it. But f**k, that's a heavy fine. Like if he was doing doing excessive speeding/reckless driving okay but running a red?

Oh, He's a Tasmanian if that changes anything.
