Need your help peep's. I've now suddenly got a job interview at lunchtime tomorrow. Need a good excuse to have an annual leave day, in the next 40 minutes. Been wracking my brain and I can't come up with anything. Had one recntly for another job interview and claimed that I had a builder out to fix some stuff so I probably can't use home repairs again so soon. Don't want to just throw a sickie as someone else I work with knows I have an interview and she's a Goodie two shoes who wouldn't approve if I called in sick for such a reason and would possibly then go and dob me in.

Any ideas?

No and I work in a very small office so my boss knows all this sort of stuff about me. I started going out with my GF the same day I started work here. The boss also knows my partners birthday.

Can't use my partner as any sort of excuse because she has just started a new job so my boss knows she won't be missing work for anything anytime soon.

Problem is, if I say something like that 20 minutes before knock off, it will seem a bit suss. That'd be something I'd have known was coming up for weeks.

I guess, I'll have to think of some sort of emergency on the way home and call the boss from home tonight. It's been raining, maybe the rain will have shorted out the power at my place or something along those lines.
