the state of origin debate continues

the best way to settle the dispute is not to call it state of origin, then no one would have anything to argue about

Moar like ditch the 'first senior footy' rule and just let them choose based on a time-based criteria (7 years living in state?) upon the signing of their first NRL contract

why should they have a choice ?

the fact that Kennedy has a choice makes a further mockery out of the term STATE OF ORIGIN

he is either from one state or the other

If you spend half your life in NSW and half in QLD, I have no issue if someone feels more of an affinity with one or the other. What I disagree with is when someone lives in NSW for their whole life and is snapped up by QLD because they played one game of footy there when they're 16. First senior footy = bullsh*t. Make the criteria 5 years residency under the age of 18. If you are eligible for both, you pick the one you feel closest to. If you don't meet the residency criteria by the time you are 18, you shouldn't be playing Origin anyway (this applies to Kiwis who come to QLD at 15 and are suddenly QLDers). Imo is the fairest way to both have a fair competition and keep state passion at its maximum. I don't agree with choosing by birth. Wouldn't make sense if someone was born in NSW and then spent the next 20 years of their life bending bananas and was forced to play for NSW.

On a totally unrelated matter, I watched a bird put her make up on in the train this morning and it took her about half an hour....

If she really wants to get noticed, she should just have bought a low cut top and a push up bra. Would have saved her half an hour...

Simple really-

Born NSW, play for NSW
Born QLD, play for QLD

Born Elsewhere in Aus or ROW but Aussie citizen then based on players choice.

which raises another point

what about the rest of Australia and ROW, Storm seem to have some good juniors who would obviously represent the Vics
