What Fittler lacks in general wit he more than made up for in footy brain. He was an intelligent footballer.

Man I miss having Freddy as our five-eighth.

I'd rather have a bunch players who appear totally brain dead when interviewed off the field but play intelligent football, than a team that plays dumb football.

That said, I think Freddy just partied too hard after retirement, I am fairly certain he was smarter than this even off the field. I remember in 2004 when they tried to get him to make a comment on the allegations against the Bulldogs and he was smart enough to refused to say anything. Compare that to what Lockyer said.

Another depressing thing I heard recently. A friend of a friend knows someone who got arrested for punching his girlfriend. Apparently he did it when he found she was cheating on him. The depressing part (although that is too) is I heard a WOMAN say "you can understand it. She got what she deserved if she was f**king around on him".

Look, cheating is very bad, no arguments there, but for anyone to think that is justification for a man hitting a woman is just sad. Especially when the person who thinks it is ok is a woman. The possibility that more people think like that saddens me.

In seven weeks I got my dead lift up to 80kg and I have never really done proper dead lifts before and I'm tiny.

All I need is to be able to do about 110 kg for clean and jerk and snatch to break the record for my weight division. So it's doable if I put in.

Iceberg lettuce? Or real lettuce? Iceberg would be about 600 lettuces

I found deadlift to be really quick to progress. I got mine up about 100kg in 2 months but it's starting to stagnate a bit
