Interestingly as Hackett mentioned , we may have a shot of becoming the first team of defeating the US in the 4 x 100 medley in olympic history after sprengers performance.

They had some absolute lock for the 400m gold apparently (not sure how that panned out....), she could swim all 4 legs

Magnussen is definitely the weak leg there!

Based off one performance....of which it was hardly his fault. Who was the idiot that decided to swim Magnussen in the heats...brain dead if you asked anyone. Little wonder he almost smashed the WR in the heats...and he was buggered for the final. He will win the individual 100m, and to be honest they won't stuff up and put him in the heats of the medley (Sullivan will swim it)

Seeing an interview with her now with leila hit with the ugly stick mc Kinnon plus Harry High pants tuck my singlet into my undiesman and she seems calmer now and more able to put things in perspective

The Americans have their trials weeks before the games.. We have ours 4 months before....

Our athletes have to peak twice....I know that they have always done it this way, but it consistently seems to work for the US having their trials so close to the games....

I think it was Magnusen and Seabolm who broke Olympic records in the qualifier but couldn't up for the medal races.

Says they are not race fit for mine, we know that was the case with Steph Rice but that was because of her operation and limited preparation.

To a point, I agree. Emily should have won that race, she was so poor in the start and that is what killed her. This was her one chance to beat the American as she is something special.

Emily is the only person to finally display something that suggested her expectations are high.. everyone else seems happy just to be there or keep using the excuse that they are tired.. next Olympics Emily will win gold as she will work hard.. and the rest won't win anything.. the Australian swimming team has a disgraceful culture at the moment.

if you can break records in the heats and not be up for the medal race, there is a problem with the coaching imo
