I think we'll need to start a thread towards the start of the new season with all of the SGB songs, so there'll be no excuses for not joining in.

It's the supporters of the other teams who don't. They'd prefer to steal & destroy our banners (methinks that they're jealous of our beautiful voices)

Being in a pub full of poms on RUWC final night has forced me to block that song from my conciousness forever.

yeah well that was my point, i didnt really know, but i knew there were ladies in here, and thought there would have to be out there too.. but yeah now i can be certain.

I'm all for making up new songs, but that is a sacrilegious. Everyone knows it is a song that is THE song of English Rugby Union (even though originally it was a song sung by American Slaves).

Also, it only sounds good in an area where it echos a little, like a pub or stadium that is full of white jumpers singing. You may get laughed at if 15 blokes on the hill at Kogarah try it. It was well thought out though.

I agree with Raider 69 - f**k the Wallabies! I was riding England home in that one I tell ya - would have been even happier if NZ got them in the semi.
I know its the song of the ERU but hey, it all kinda fits and it sounds ok.

One of my previous efforts last year was (to the tune of too good to be true
He's just too good to be Drew
Defence can't take their eyes off you,
Chips, grubbers and kicks into touch
With Finch we didnt win much
And as he holds the trophy up high
We'll all let out a big sigh
And cry 'He's just too good to be Drew!'
We're so glad we signed you!
