Is this real life? He didnt even land on his head ffs.

Thankfully you are right.

If he did land on his head flush he would have spent the morning shitting out bits of his spine

Seeings as though they didn't charge him with the sit down power bomb crusher tackle it probably works out about right

lol, a pretty silly thing to say.

1. Williams should be thanking his lucky stars he didn't land on his head.
2. He didn't land on his head because he went passed 180 degrees lol.

I guess the thing is, that if De Gois did land on his head/neck - with the amount of force Williams used - he could of just about snapped his neck in half.

Bottom line, wouldn't want to thread the needle with a tackle of that nature ever again.

Looked far far worse than what was intended imo. He went to throw De Gois to the ground and put way too much into the effort.

10 weeks is well over the top

I was going to say the exact same thing. Threw him so hard that he went past that point. If not for that last flip, you would have one dead sharky.

...went to throw him to the ground and put way too much into the effort. Isn't this definitionally a dangerous throw?

Well lets just talk grading.

If this is not a grade 4 what is?

Driving the head downwards (the classic spear tackle) is substantially worse IMO. Williams didn't even have hold of De Gois by the time he hit the deck. Dangerous? Absolutely. As bad as they get? Not by a long shot.

The loading system seems the biggest issue.

The base penalty seems about right

THIS

and this will continue to be an issue. luke lewis missed an SOO match because of loading form a tackle a year earlier which was a grade 1 I think

he loading system is shit. unless someone is doing the same stuff (e.g. seevral dangerous throws) loading shouldnt even be a consideration.

f**k me Tony.

You should have thought of that before you dropped a suplex on De Gois.

Seriously -why wasn't he sent off? And, this sends a very strong message, along with the Farah suspension.

Exactly why wasn't he sent off, that was the worst non tackle I've ever seen. No advantage given to Cronulla only a penalty...

the "Hulk Smash" last night was pretty disgraceful... T-Rex was in a foul mood last night.

Thank god Hasler is no longer the coach anymore though or we would never hear the end of this...

The worst tackle I've seen in the last 5 years. Compared to what Dave Taylor got last year for a much less severe tackle, T-Rex does deserve 7-10.
