Attack the fringe of the rucks with our forwards - we don't have the size to take them on up front. Lots of 2nd man balls to Looloo, Gallen, Williams.

Kick early to turn their big men around continually.

Aim strong runners (Gallen, Looloo, Vags) at gasnier on 4th and 5th.

DON'T throw the ball around willy nilly. Completions and a good kick-chase game are vital against the drags.

Get under their skin - plenty of niggle.

As Captn says - bag the inside balls until the last 1/4 of the game and hope to hell we're still in it then
This is it plus no turnovers ,WE MUST COMPLETE SETS!

Most teams average around 5 per game.
We average 1.
Reason?
Noddy can't f*cken kick for sh*tt

So reefy, what youre suggesting is, that if we had a few more repeat sets then we may not have the need for noddy's godawful flat corner 'bombs' that usually land a few metres over the corner post?

I reckon if we get 5 repeat sets, its 30 tackles less we make, 30 more they make on their line, & the gas tanks end up looking very different at the end of the game.

Wollongong for Saturday
Fine day, with some rain developing in the evening. Warm, with fresh to strong north to northeast winds.
Min: 14
Max: 25

Weather looms as big factor which could create much tighter game than might otherwise be the case. Razzle dazzle game may be difficult - more of a constraint for Queens. Tight, hard, minimal mistake footy likely to win it. Win toss. Run North first half. B. Kimmorley, bring kicking boots, apply liberally to lower point of ball (i.e. NOT the side of the ball) for long range, target tryline (i.e. NOT the deadball line) for short range. Attack one pass off ruck via straight running forwards at gap between goons 5/8 and inside centre for every set, tackles 1-4/5 but change-up L to R side sequentially. Wider on 5/6 ONLY in very good field position, otherwise downtown with straight fast chase line. Aim: take as much out of Goon backs as possible and run their pack around the park ALL game. Defend like the Manly game with venom and effectiveness, target ball in tackles. Drop offs, missed tackles = all over. Discipline - NO stupid penalities - field position will be critical. Huge focus on repeat sets - think about it from the start of every set, not on tackle 4/5. BTR is exactly correct - lift this stat markedly and our chances will be very different. Fancy will not win this for Sharks. Hard work, intensity for 80 minutes, self-pride, discipline will give the best chance. Switch off on any of this and the don't deserve to be there school will be entirely vindicated.

Start with the meanest muthers on the field and tell them to kill their opposite and the bloke either side.

Start with Williams and Loo Loo in the centers and tell them to fill ambulances with pieces of the opposing centers. Mellor can't start- not tough enough in defence. Bailey optional- put Galloway their and start Manua.

Rotate Baily and Manua after 20 to get a prop rotation going- galloway into prop

Bench to start

Mellor
Bailey
Scott
Hilder

Only mongrel on the park for the first 30mins then the first 25-30 of the second half.

Smash them all across the line and they will spit it.

Smash the SH!TE out of them- nige and nod score.
