I don't ridicule him for taking a stand, I ridicule him for not wanting to work through it. Greg Inglis, the one who was racially villified, didn't act like a prima donna. He sorted it out like a man rather than reacting by trying to paint Newcastle as racist and trying to punch on with the 'rednecks' at the Knights rather than put the incident behind him.

Not to mention his complete disrespect to Daniel Anderson.

eels fan?

That has nothing to do with my opinion of him, I judge every player as a person and not a player from a team.

The thing is, half the people here are saying he is guilty already when he has not been proven guilty of anything.
It's like when the Brett Stewart case came out; people were going off about how he was guilty and so on when there was no proof whatsoever.

Tahu has denied the claims, and whether it has happened or not, there is nothing that can prove he is guilty without recorded evidence or of him actually admitting to it.
I'd love to know the truth either way, but people condemning him already need to get in check.

Yeah....Farrah made it up.

hahahahaha

Young = Gallen
According to both players, they were going at each other. Misunderstanding maybe. One report suggests he said 'f**king dog'. But hey, if Young is proven to have said something more sinister, then by all means let's throw the book at him together.

But didn't you defend Gallen's racial slur?

Pretty sure you excused it on some 'racism is cool' ticket.

IMO this is bullshyte. Considering the amount of publicity his walking out of NSW SOO on racial grounds got, I don't think he'd then go around abusing kids. Seems to me like some people at the tournament don't like Timana and this is their way of targeting him.

i could be wrong though. will be interesting to see what comes out in the next few days

It was a Koori Knockout. Probably had Kooris playing with and against him. He stood up for all Kooris over Origin debarcle with Johns. Many Kooris applauded him over this. Why are Kooris now targetting him??????

I see your point, and I agree that Tahu has done been out of line in what he has done at times; i.e. the Eels V Knights game, and also the drama surrounding his "I support the board" comment. Some people believe he was put up to it by the board, but we can never know....

The thing is, I can't blame him too much for the way he has acted when he has been so heavily criticised from almost everywhere, he seems to really need help with the issues he has.

I think the belief is that many people are not happy with the way he has acted.......i.e. all the criticism he copped when he took the stand against racism.

It has been mentioned that the only people who have claimed this has happened were from an opposition team, of which their players got into numerous scuffles with Tahu and also when Tahu allegedly kicked out at someone. The guy has anger and core emotional issues, and to some it is a way of 'getting back' at Tahu and exploiting his known issues to make him look guilty.

Whether you believe it or not-and I'll reserve judgement until the truth comes out-it's a very odd story.

4 Things

1) Paul Gallen is the Don Bradman of league :)

2) Isn't Tahu trying to be a Maori at the moment

3) Tahu is probably just confused. Seems to have alot of Mundane rubbish coming out of his mouth of late and the confusion that "the mans" contradictory views on race and religion have caused have probably broken him.

4) Tim Tam Tahu is the Trevor Chappell of League

Racism aside, I can't believe Boohoo even played on his excruciating ankle. Daniel Anderson must have been coaching that day.

Young apologised to Farah at fulltime,Farah when asked to go on with it said ,"he has a Grand Final to play next week,I don't wan't to cause any distractions as my team is now out".
Tahu could take a leaf out of farah's book and shut up.

I don't know if it's been mentioned yet, but could this kid be a gold digger.

Sorry, how much money do you think a 16 year old kid would get out of making an allegation of racist abuse?

What an idiotic statement.

Merkin who knows what is going on. Plenty of people have blackmailed stars in the past. To me it seems a bit suss if the only witnesses are the father and coach, and tahu has refuted the claims. He may have called him one, who knows??????

Obviously you are nothing but a dumb bogan, to suggest it's a idiotic statement. I was only suggesting it could be a possibility. Go and get f**ked

I think the fact that Tahu took his own time to participate in a tournament, instead of sitting at home like most other players, and getting involved with other players and taking pride in his culture and birth-right, seems to have completely been missed by most people here.....

If he was a sook like you guys say, how come he goes to a tournament to show his pride in his heritage and play basically for free? To me that sounds like a charitable act.....

If they were trying to blackmail him, why would they make it public? The sole intent of blackmail is to receive money in exchange for NOT making something public.

Stupider and stupider...

Whilst I don't necessarily agree with IFR33K, there are several proven cases of blackmail where people put pressure on high profile individuals publicly by collaborating with other people to claim an alleged bad story against an individual, generally so as to turn the general public and media against this person.

The same logic can be applied here, even if I severely doubt it is the case.....

Considering most of them kids are pretty stupid anyway, you can't really expect them to go through with it properly right?
Maybe that kid forgot the 'blackmail' part of blackmailing someone and just let loose.

I don't by now care if he said it or not. He's dragged my club through the mud too many times already: from nearly decapitating some poor Knights players to that blow up with Joey; from sooking at the coach after he's sacked to being rude...I've had it.

f**k off, Timana.
