pfft..im with roopy 100%, i dont care what kind of person he is as long as he can play. Tahu did not drag this club through the mud. I love Joey as much as any knights fan, but he made racist comments towards aboriginals and who are any of you to say people involved in the club weren't racist towards him. Tahu would be a great addition to the club's roster...Tahu has a sh*tload of good footy left in him.

5.Kev Naquima

did the issue with joey come from timana being selected on the wing instead of his preferred position of centre, looked like an easy out for me. Burraston and co. have been rebuilding the club culture since the last pre-season so the knights need as much good publicity as they can get, keep them on the back page of the herald, not front page!

I don't think he's needed. As a depth signing it wouldn't be too bad, but I'm sure Boohu wouldn't like that one bit and cause a ruckus about redneck Rick holding him down.

There's no spot for him on the right wing where he flourished back in his prime, and at right centre we already have one aging veteran with his eventual sucessor Likiliki waiting in the wings for his opportunity.

How about across the other side of the field? Junior Sau is a current rep centre who tops Boohu in linebreaks (8 to 7), linebreak assists (6 to 4), try assists (7 to 2), tackle busts (60 to 46), missed tackles (1.5 to 2.1) and running metres (101.6 to 83.4). Not to mention he doesn't bring with him a truckload of emotional baggage and is in the prime of his career rather than living on past glories.

So the one place left for him to play in our strongest 17 is left wing. James McManus was a representative player the last time he was injury free and Kevin Naiqama is an exciting young prospect who represented the NSW Residents this season. Boohu could contend for that spot, but he wants to play centre and given they way he's behaved with such immaturity and ill discipline over the past 6 months, I don't see him taking to that concept.

No thank you.

I wonder what James McManus thinks of this considering it was Tahu who gave him a dog cheap-shot when he had his tanty last time the Knights played him. The guy's ego would almost count for two player signings

That's great... that'll get Boohu a run with the Centurions.

I don't see the names Gidley, MacDougall, Uate or Sau in your list, so the question remains. Where exactly would he play? As someone said earlier the only spot we (possibly) have open is a wing spot, and if we bring him back up here and throw him on the wing they'll hear him whinging in Iceland.

I can see the Telegraph headline now:
"MY MAN TAHU VICTIM OF RACIST CULTURE IN NEWCASTLE: MUNDINE"

LOL - good balanced argument there - you left out everyone he WOULDN'T get a spot over. So (given he plays centre now) Sau, Doogs and Likiliki get a run he might get one over Kev Naiqama?

So you are saying pay overs for a depth player?

:lol:With the exception of maybe McManus, all those players are reserve graders.

Tahu would not get a run over any of the blokes in our current backline and is a has been of epic proportions.

Brain dead....ha!

Tahu played origin this year..and deservedly so. He was one of if not THE best centre in the game when he left...his first year back..sure he didnt set the world on fire..but gaz has done f**k all since he has come back..both will take time to come good. Tahu plays with aggression unlike anyone in our side...apart from patto.

......liliki has played, what 1 game of first grade?
doogs plays five games a year... and sau played poorly all year.

you are all biased clowns, Tahu played all year outside of the worst halves in the comp. I would have Tahu back in a heartbeat.

Tahu made the Blues side this year on the back of reputation and blind selectors, certainly not on his 2010 form which was av-er-age.

Gaz has shown 10x the improvement in the 10-12 games since his return than Tahu has in his 2 years back in RL.

The guy is fast losing the respect of everyone in the game
