Tahu?

You would have to say that T potenitally wanted to play here all along. I seriously think he is dirty on us for not bringing him home 18 months ago and he lashed out at the club in a badly directed fury. He has emotional immaturity to a degree but who hasn't really. I am sure I read Smithy got a call a while back from T wanting to come home to Newy. However the money wasn't there and neither was Smithy by then hence it fell through. I won't be sad if T does eventually sign here and if we can get a decent conract together I believe he will bleed his heart dry for this club. He only left cos we didn't pay him what he was worth to begin with anyway.

He was offered rubbish pay because he'd played something less 16 games in 2 seasons and instead of getting back on the paddock and managing an ankle injury he chose to go have season ending surgery instead.

It was only at Parra that he started to string a few games together.

It is a hard thing to do to be in a position you don't want to be in, to be away from the people you love, to be committed to somewhere that is the last place you want to be. Some people have the ability to shine through all of that, some don't.

I really believe that T has been unhappy for a fair while and getting him back to a place where he is settled and happy will not only settle him off the field, but will settle him on the field. Newcastle is that place.

Rather than those that have been bagging him because of the way he has acted over the last 12 months, I feel sorry and concerned for him. He obviously hasnt been in a good way. Whether he plays for us or not I hope he finds some peace within himself.

(Obviously I hope he signs with us on the cheap and kills it next year too!)
Well put Alex. I like yourself just want the bloke to be ok. He looks up to Joey and that is why he was so angry about what was said. It is like your own father putting you down. It hurts and we all know that. Anyone else who thinks otherwise is a fool.

Really hate it when people start throwing the fool tag around when someone else disagrees with their oppinion...... Very close minded, pigheaded attitude IMO.

Multiple beat downs of higher class opponents?

Fantasy. He has been solid with some good and some bad games. If i'm wrong then point out the games please, i bet the lot of you couldn't find 7 games over 2 years where doogs was anything but solid or worse. Solid in an average team does not make you fantastic. I doubt he's even picked up a single dally M point in 2 years.

If he HAD been as good as you make i'd be against Tahu replacing him.

Fact is this - those of us here in reality wouldn't blink if Tahu was a straight swap for MacDougall.

What's Tahu done so great that he just walks into a spot?

And surley you are basing all your remarks on the fact Tahu's attitude and form is just going to turn around as soon as he get here, because on current form anybody in our current backline should keep there spot.

Watch the first 10 or so games of 2010 and try telling me that Macdougall was "solid or worse". You've got no clue! I lost count of the amount of line breaks and trys Macdougall set up for Uate, not to mention all the trys he saved in defense.

Doogs is an old man.
His next serious injury will probably be his last - and that could happen any time.
Tahu is only a year or two off being in the same boat though.

Please. Apply what you have said above to Tahu. Now there is a centre who was outplayed almost every week he was on the park in 2010. The Jamal Idris match up was the highlight. A bloke who ended up playing second row absolutely gave it Tahu- physically and mentally.

Question: If he doesn't sign a contract anywhere, would he be training with the Knights at all? Something similar like Beckham has already done with ManU and Tottenham.
