Having seen the replay now Tahu's knee goes nowhere near Prior's head. Any comparisons to the likes of the Greg Bird incident are laughable. It was so meh that Prior's first reaction is to look at the touchie to plead for a penalty. I doubt his knee came into contact with Prior at all. It looks more like shin on shoulder and it was more of a push than a strike. They reckon he will get a week and that's about the most it should be. Of course Bennett might impose more than a week off.

In the past, the NRL has shown that 'intent' is enough to draw a penalty. A player doesn't have to make contact, the attempted kick can earn a suspension. But the judiciary are inconsistent, that much we can bank on. Either way, not a good look for Tahu.

the only exaggeration ive seen is the suggestion from you that the tackler who gave a facial, which occurs 50 times a game, was actually a thumb to the eye (presumably to suggest an eye gouge?)

the facts:

the knights were deep in attack
tahu copped a routine facial
tahu lost his shit, tripped the marker and then struck a man (albeit lightly) with his knee.
tahu then also elevates the incident by throwing hand bags (must have learnt that in union, you know, the game he said he'd never play not a week before signing on)
the knights play on and come back to his side where there is an over lap
the play breaks down because tahu has incited hand bags at 12 o'clock because he's a dumb shit with no control over himself
the knights go on to lose in gp.
RABK defies his god bothering to choke down on some tahu c**k to defend this action

as best i know thats the state of play.
