So what is going to happen when the Storm cops more "serious" injuries to players when they play Souths? Will they try and poach more of our players or players from other teams?

As you say 2010Dragons, we have 2 players suspended until round 6 and we could lose other players through injury so it makes sense to hold onto Sims - at least until Moose and Fui come back - if Sims was to be let go.
Two second rowers are suspended until round 6.
plenty of possible other injuries and suspension to our other second rowers. Tell bellyache he is dreaming and suck shit you cheating merkins.

The bloody hide of them - more so Bellamy ! If the sods are truly desperate then I say give them Kerr and in return they can give us that big sod that has a head on him like a bolt - Nelson whatever his name is . Otherwise they can go to hell .

Now that’s my good deed done for the day - week - year . 😁

On a more serious note - Griffin has gone to great lengths to build our forward stocks up for this season and beyond .

With Fui and McGuire both suspended until round 6 (?) that is two down already . The point being we cannot afford to give players away to other clubs simply as that particular club have their own players out .

Tough luck to them , but no one has come to help the Dragons out in the past . I would suggest that Bellamy needs to go knocking on Uncle Nick’s front door over at the Eastern suburbs , perhaps he may be more forthcoming ?

I don’t see any upside for us releasing Sims or any other player. We’ve got a pretty good squad with depth so why challenge that particularly when there are no salary cap issues to address. Tariq is still a top tier rep player & will be very valuable down the stretch.

I recall Storm management were among the first demanding that the NRL out DeBelin from playing while his legal case was being sorted. Couldn't keep their noses out of it could they?
Let them have a weakened squad for a while or a season like most other teams have to.
Storm have had long enough to establish themselves. If they can't stand on their own feet by now and survive a season or two in the bottom half of the table then maybe they should relocate to a state that will embrace and support them more.

I think the other point here is until Sims gets a 2023 contract he will play his socks off as a audition for prospective buyers. That will only help us as the insiders at our club know his body is busted and any form spurt is not sustainable if he has to play long minutes and every game.

It's karma. Storm should cop injuries. They've been busting other teams players for years.
PS: I like Sims - there, I've said it.

I never thought that the Storm would be crying out because a couple of their players are injured. What about the time when State of Origin was on and they virtually had the Queensland side stacked with their players - Smith, Slater, Cronk etc. etc. they put up with it then over the time of the SOO series over many years.

They are only priming themselves up for next year when they will lose the Bromwich brothers, Kafausi, Smith etc.

At the end of the day if Sims goes to the Storm in 2023, they will be his 5th NRL club.
Good luck to him, but at his age his best years are behind him and he’s probably seeking premiership glory under Bellamy to cap his career.
I like him as a player, but I never believe the theory that he’s passionate about the RedV. I feel his football passion & loyalty sways.

I'm sure the Storm can find a way to make that available $100,000 stretch a loooong way. Wouldn't be surprised if he ends up there sooner but sure hope not.
