He may be a centre originally, but as a centre or a winger, he is slow, at least over 90m. Agree he should've come in. The worst possible result was handing the ball back, and that's what happened.

Purtell saves Penrith from second-half meltdown

Discarded Raider Adrian Purtell last night came back to haunt his former club by sprinting 100m and scoring a brilliant intercept try to secure the Penrith Panthers victory in a messy yet entertaining affair at the foot of the mountains.

The writer took a few liberty's with the "sprinting" part in the first paragraph, but it happened. I can only assume the Raiders players being well acquainted with Spurty Purts figured some f**ker would round him up as they all headed to the sheds. They thought they had won the game until they stopped at Goulburn Maccas on the way home and caught the Panthers players celebrating on the telly as Purts lay on the ground clutching his chest.
