Actually, my original post was blaming security and suggesting they should have kicked out the victim, just like his post did. You know, because criminals shouldn't take responsibility for their actions, it must be someone else's fault.

There are a few Panthers fans who said what he did was wrong. Most of you are defending him and blaming the victim purely because he plays for the Panthers. If you don't like being lumped in with them, maybe stop defending May's actions.

The only defence i've done is saying it was minor and making a joke out of all the handwringing over him tossing a bloke to the ground. Meanwhile you are in here talking rape victim blaming like its somehow relevant.

You are putting way too much emphasis on the no criminal conviction thing. This happens all the time for minor offences.

Minor being the key part

1 teenager annoys a group of people
Teenager from that does something stupid to him

That is it in a nutshell, Yet people carry on like he is a criminal mastermind or something

Just let it rest. He got a punishment from the court, and one from the NRL. Like them or not, all the hand wringing, moral outrage, defences and justifications aren't going to change anything.
Close the thread before it gets too personal and somebody says something they regret!

Why do the NRL always go against precedent? It is a black and white case. The judge found him guilty of a horse collar tackle, and the Panthers should have to kick off from the 35 yard line to start Friday nights match. Case closed.

It’s handbags stuff, it really is, non event, not worthy of an NRL suspended sentence. Dealt with by the local court system and should have ended there. The fact we are still talking about is non sensical really.

You fellas are hilarious. Blaming the drunk victim, blaming the venue, blaming the security.
Don't try to change the context in what I said . And as you very well know, I was sticking it to the Penrith men. It sounds like since the Sharks have made the top four, you have turned into a right bell end.

He was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, an offence that carries a maximum 7 year prison sentence. Hardly a non event.

i mean he attacked a man from behind, a man who didn’t even know he was there, giving him no chance of defending himself, for absolutely no reason at all. And that’s ok with you?

I know I shouldn’t be surprised that Panthers fans are Neanderthal scumbags, it’s a well known fact. Guess this really drives it home.

Why? Too hard for you to keep victim blaming when you realise you are just like the guys who blame women for getting raped?

If you don't like it, maybe stop defending the guy purely because he plays for your team.
WTF was it, that your thought process went in the direction of rape? To get the mass effect of the bullshit your sprouting?
