I think you will find most of us think what Taylan did was pretty dumb

saying it’s not a hanging offence isn’t saying it wasn’t a dumb thing to do.Based on this thread, this isn't even remotely close to true.
Should we protest? Burn the leagues club down? What do you suggest?
I think you will find most of us think what Taylan did was pretty dumb and if the NRL had dished out a more acceptable to the masses punishment there wouldn’t be much whinging from Penrith fans. But here we are, it’s not Taylan or the clubs fault the NRL are stupid.
The tears are pretty tasty though.

I didn’t get called out for anything. After you got called out for downplaying May's incident, why did you feel the need to bring up some other player's indiscretions? Do you stand by the claim that May just grabbed him?
Your a moron. Always have been always will be. You can’t help it, it is just who you are.And he was f**king punished for it you numb-brained twatwhistle. Immediately. Not when it was convenient for him, or the club.
I didn’t get called out for anything.
Not down playing it all.
Making comparisons given what has been suggested is entirely appropriate but that obviously escapes you, sadly.
He grabbed a bloke, he didn’t punch him, king hit him or anything more sinister.
He made a mistake, an error of judgement, it was hardly a hanging offence.
Such incidents occur in licensed premises on a very regular basis and few rarely end up in our criminal courts. Given his profile, as an NRL player this one did and he has no one but himself to blame for that.
He was dealt with the criminal courts and in this instance it should have been the end of it. Not worthy of further sanction.
That’s what he did. He grabbed a bloke, threw him to the ground. Well f**k me, in the scheme if things I can’t figure why he has not been sentenced to jail time. Go figure.Right so the first sentence isn't suggesting all he did is grab a bloke?
I haven't seen anyone go poor Taylan or anything
“I felt sorry for him going through it all, you obviously feel for your mate that has to go through stuff like that and the scrutiny around it”

Taylan May has never apologised. Never shown remorse. He tried to plead not guilty on grounds of provocation, when as we’ve all seen he was sitting away from the argument, and then he got up and assaulted the dude from behind, an act the magistrate described as “reprehensible” and “cowardly”.
Yet all we’ve had coming out of Penrith is “poor Taylan, it’s so bad that he had to go through this.”
What a disgrace the Panthers are. What an absolute disgrace.
Maybe demand consistency across the league? Not this preferential bullshit? Since when have suspensions been deferred because finals are on?Should we protest? Burn the leagues club down? What do you suggest?

I honestly don’t know the answer to this? Can you provide an example when an off-field suspension has started during a final series. From memory it feels like a pretty unique situation.Since when have suspensions been deferred because finals are on?
If you can't see that the issue here is the NRL's decision to delay the penalty so that it doesn't adversely effect the Panthers finals chances then there is no point discussing further.Minor being the key part
1 teenager annoys a group of people
Teenager from that does something stupid to him
That is it in a nutshell, Yet people carry on like he is a criminal mastermind or something

I would have accepted 1 week or even a fine form the NRL but instead they come up with this farce.
So how many weeks will an eels player get THIS season if they did the same thing to taylan on the field?
