That is up to the ability of the coach to steer them through it and leverage it in the latter part of the season. The players aspire to SOO, you can't take that away from them, I want them all picked.

If I was in charge of the NRL, I would be playing origin on the Monday night, instead of Wednesday night. That would give the players 2 extra days to recover after origin. I think this is so rational and logical, but why can't the NRL see this? My only explanation is that Channel nine may prefer Wednesday night. I am pretty sure that origin used to be played on Tuesday night when they first introduced it.

The 2nd Origin and Test match weekend there is no games so Saints only have the Storm game which they will be missing their rep players due to unavailability.

All other games Saints players will be backing up or Mary will rest. I am assuming based on how they are going on the ladder, Mary may rest them. By then I am hoping they are on 22+ points and a fair way ahead of 9th spot.

I think Saints have great cover in the backs/halves it is only forwards that are a concern.
