He hasn't been doing it long enough to judge, but he will surely become one of the elite halves. It's only a matter of time.

The real test is to see how he goes in a team that isn't killing it. It's easy for fans to look at the halfback in these teams and assume it's all because of him, by which I mean a solid halfback can look like a star with a strong enough team around him. This is why I rate DCE and Johnson so highly. They are capable of carrying average teams.

Because without those players, Manly and the Sharks are shit teams. So were the Warriors. It's as though you think all a team needs to be successful is a good halfback. My whole point is that it's a team game.

Every playmaker is a downhill skier. But for the ones in strong teams they're always skiing downhill so you never notice.

Your an absolute dud. Those Manly sides have been bloody strong. Anyone can “carry” sides to mediocrity. If you are successfully carrying a team you need to carry them to victory.

I disagree. Carrying a team just means you make them competitive where they otherwise wouldn't be.
