Can’t wait for super sub Jake Arthur to play dummy half again and pass ball like a 40/20 to the other end of the field. FMD. He’s favouring his son.

I remember being at a parra v scum storm game in 2010 I believe and the crowd started chanting "cheats cheats cheats".
Soooo good. Storm players didn't appreciate it but sure as f so funny
Would it be too juvenile to do that again?
Or Munster is a .......

I get the sense BA is just doing cut and paste team lists from here on in, and reserving the right to be less predicatble on game day?

We all know Niukore starting a at lock works, with Matterson on after 20mins - but why not keep the opponents guessing as to whether you'll do it again or not? Or maybe even try something else e.g. Papa in the middle for the first 20min vs Nelson (or some other minor twist)?

Hopefully it's the same with Cartwright and Jake Arthur - there's no reason why Bryce isn't an equally valid bench utility selection (refer to his game v Bulldogs), so why not keep everyone guessing what we'll actually do? Even going into this particular game with a four forwards and no utility bench?

I predict Ogden and Cartwright to be retained when trimming to the final 19... and maybe a couple of minor switches in our 17 on game day....

I understand it's cover and he feels he only uses 3 forward anyhows so have a bit of insurance. In reality that's fine if you have a very good halfback in NSW CUP. Issue is he isn't that yet.
I reckon if a half went down we'd almost be better switchi g Gutherson there and having a back on the bench like Russel or Simmonson.
If we did lose a forward early though this plan backfires. Means Makatao has to play large minutes. Id rather Bryce do that and Papali'i move to the middle

In our current lineup, 1 and 9 are the hardest to cover.

Russell is still too much a rookie, it was sad he got injured. Otherwise, whilst sivo was out, he couldve picked up alot of experience.

Yeah simonssen if probably the best backup for 1. But for mine, the 1 has to be football smart and none of our 2 wingers are smart and the 2 centres are small and slow

Guth I reckon could cover 9,but I don't think we have a better fullback than him in our team.

None of the current pack can really play 9 well enough

If simonssen could fit at 9,i would give the 14 to him but I doubt he would practice there

So JA covers 6,7 and 9.he could potentially cover 1 as well with I wished dyl moving there but it would be Moses from history and JA taking a halves role

The actual player that fits is captain Rankin. Though I think he's an after thought at parra. I reckon he could play 14 at dummy half and I reckon he's a better half than ja

Coz ba is straight forward. He's not cunning and he might confuse himself

Ba cost us a semi final win when he went with stone at 9. He’s another Brain fart away from costing us a huge game.
Without Stone we would've been down by a lot more than two at full time. He is an elite defender, and we've missed him this year.

Yeah he cost us the semi against the panthers. Actually the coach did. He was the idiot that selected a lock at hooker.

Stone is ok at hooker for 10 mins. Or if was an injury and forced to.
That was possibly the worse choice I've seen in a game. But to be fair who else was available?
I don't think anyone was fit.

There's no point complaining about ja any more

Ba thinks he's the best fit then so be it

Ba will have to deal with the fallout from it or bathe in the accolades if it
Well us not already in a 4 spot is more about giving the Sharks game away. Losing to Tigers, Bulldogs and Broncos. Has Jake’s selection or his selection over another influenced the results in those games ? We’ve only lost 8 games this year.

I can see us going out in straight sets vs Storm then vs Roosters or Souths, so is that got anything to do with Jake ?
