I agree.

I think Ponga is a better player than Gutherson, and Edwards, combined - but he doesn't have the energy, desire, and never-say-die courage that those two have.
Natural talent undoubtedly, but week to week, getting the job done for your team I’m not so sure. Value for money give me Edwards or Gutho any day, mind you Edwards is only on $450k if you believe the media.
Tell the boys in Penrith I'll be back on the bus once the Eels get beat. Otherwise I hope to kick your dirty arse in the Grand final.
Tell MulgaB to get f**ked also. Thanks
Muga B hasn’t been sighted for a while unless I’m mistaken.

The Eels v Panthers GF would be great wouldn't it.

There is no bus, that was three years ago around the Ivan and West Tigers thing at the time.

Look the new competition begins on a Friday night, the winner is almost certainly going to come from one of the sides in the top four but you have to be in it to win it so while ever you are in contention there is always a chance.

I wouldn’t swap our own Dylan Edwards for him but again that’s just me, and most of our own fans on here would probably disagree.
Ponga and Edwards only play the same role in defence. In attack their roles are quite different. Ponga's role is very similar to Luai's, and I think if he was playing for Penrith he would be up there with Trbojevic.

Whilst the Knights were missing the Saifiti bros against the broncos, it wasnt the middle that was their problem, both edges were more flimsy than we looked back in the Fergo/Waqa combo days a few months back.

If Moses and Gutho cannot exploit that after no doubt watching the game and doing video this week - we deserve to lose.

We should reasonably expect that even at 80% of the effort/ability we put into the Storm game we'll come away with a strong 10+ point win, and thats not even considering we're adding RCG back in who has been our best prop imo all year, and Matto who defensively strengthens his edge.

If we lose on Sunday and therefore head straight out, BA should be punted - i know it wont happen - but it should. Man for man, across the park, we are a better team than them.

Did you count origin players. To determine who’ll win.

Don’t mind that set up but definitely not at this stage of the comp
Assuming Reg is fit the only question Is the make up of the bench

The Storm game was just a warm up.

We are yet to peak.

We haven't even run any of our super secret plays yet.
A couple of them will be epic. I can’t share any more than that though. BA told me not to tell anyone. He said he hadn’t even told Gutho.

Can't get much closer than that, notwithstanding some of these merkins (e.g. Oldfield) won't be playing on Sunday. Neither team has the edge for big game experience, and for mine the main factor pointing at an Eels victory is this:

EelsKnights
Differential+109-143

We should belt them, but if the Knights had a significant advantage in big match experience I would tip the game to be a lot closer, at least in a finals match.

what about spine big game experience?

Eels = 7+7+4+0 = 18
Knights = 35+7+5+0 = 47

It all comes down to mythchel pearce

If the game is even with 10 to go, that’s probably when big game spine experience may come to the fore, but I’m not expecting it to be that close.

I wouldn’t rate Moses’s ability any lesser than Pearce’s either. In fact I’d Probably say that if Mitch had been a part of teams as successful as those that Pearce was fortunate to have been at the roosters , he’d be lightyears ahead of him at the same point in his career

Pearce is now 32 and well passed his best footy.

Knights have beaten two top 8 sides all season. Titans by a point and Manly in rnd 12.
Manly where missing - Foran,Walker,Alioi,Schuster,Okaluto.
Knights had no Pearce or Ponga,

They've had an easy draw. Played Parra,Storm,Penrith,Manly,Souths once. Compared to us who played them all twice including the Rooster who we both played twice.
Considering there is 24 games a season we have had

12 against top 8 sides and 10 against genuine threats.

Knights have had 9 against top 8 sides. But against genuine threats 6 games. Or 7 if include us. It has been a soft draw. 4 easy games.

They've had one good win all season against Manly.

If we didn't beat them BA is marched imo.
