Pulled out my old emblem cards from the late 80's. Reckon pretty much every team (bar the giants) had a great logo, old tigers, roosters, panthers, raiders.... all look better than the current models.

Have that "front on" facing bronco emblem as well......was this ever used as the official logo on the jerseys or was it just an advertising thing?

I quite like ours, its a bit more modern but remains still pretty true to our original one, the sharks and cowboys are good modern day logos

but outside that, i like old school ones, the eels and dragons.

Unlike all the other teams their is real history with the name Rabbitohs

whilst the Dragons logo is a good looking logo, it doesn't sit right because the team are the Dragons and in the logo there is St. George - the Dragons slayer - there in the background. For mine, there is an implication that the Dragon is set to be slain. That logo would make more sense for a team calling themselves the dragon slayers, it would also be more threatening

Look I don't mind ours but it could be better. We obviously can't do the Knight in profile on horseback because of the Dragons but I wouldn't mind some variation on a kneeling knight -

:lol: the history behind the rabbitohs name has to do with their area being slums where rabbit meat was sold (one of the few meats the poor people living there could afford) and the rabbit meat vendors would yell out "rabbit-oh! Rabbit-oh!"

The real history of the Eels name is much better

I'm glad the Eels and Bulldogs have gone back to their much superior former logos. The Dogs especially, the logo they had before this one was dreadful, looked like a cartoon dog.

Also the Tigers new one is crap compared to the Balmain one. I don't understand why they had to change logos when they kept the mascot.

Raiders have improved.

Sharks much much much better.

If the Bears get back in they have to go back to the round one, it's a classic. Vastly better than what they're using now.

Panthers also used to have a much better one. The leaping Panther looked way cooler than the yawning cat they have now.

I voted Dragons, Knights, Roosters.
Honourable mentions to Canterbury for going back to their best Bulldog era look. The old Norths Bear and the old Wests Magpie in shield were classics as well.

I don't think they did because the otger logo is on the horses chest.

I like the new Dogs one, but preferred the 80s one, didn't much care for tge mid 2000s one.

St Georges one is pretty good, but I liked all the old ones.

As Halatia pointed out, the Parramatta name predates feral meat salesmen by at least 40,000 years.
The tigers name also has history as it evolved from the blackwattle trees that used to ring the harbour in the Balmain area with black and gold. Take the red and green glasses off sometimes.
