The teams that have kept old logos are easily the best. Parra or the Rabbitohs have a real sense of history in their logos.

I also went the warriors because its simple, unique, looks cool, and is instantly recognizable as New Zealand.

Great
Eels (Simple, iconic and screams RL)
Knights (Modern and keeps true to original)
Rabbitohs (Simple and iconic)
Warriors (Simple and iconic, good line-work)

Good
Bulldogs (Don't like the "BULLDOGS" at the top)
Dragons (Could be great with an update to the shield, Dragon/Knight is great)
Raiders (Good render, football on helmet looks a bit silly though)
Sea-Eagles (Well rendered Eagle on old-style circle, stays true to older logos)
Storm (A good representation given the awkward name)
Titans (Good rendering, "GOLD COST" in impact and rounded rectangle looks weird)

Ordinary
Roosters (too cartoonish for a historical side, needs to go back to Easts logo)
Panthers (Bad colours, wordmark)
Sharks (Bad wordmark, already dated)
Broncos (Trying too hard to be like Denver aesthetically, chess piece, needs to go back to updated original Bronco)

Bad
Cowboys (horrendous star, fixing that upgrades it to "good")
Tigers (Florida panthers ripoff, not fitting for two foundation clubs)

Initially i didnt like the broncos logo cos i thought it looked like a chess piece but now i like it. isn't cluttered or cartoony (i.e.wests, panthers)

I do liek how the eels have reverted back to an old logo but i don't think all old logo's look that good. the panthers and tigers old logo's look dated. didn't the roosters have a logo of a cartoon chicken with a football in the 90's?

manly's current logo is a decent attempt at mixing the mdoern with old

This is a great Sharks logo, should go back to it imo.

Those old Cronulla and Penrith logos are sensational.

It's frustrating seeing how bad their modern day ones are, they just don't compare at all (although Cronulla's new one is ok I guess).

I like the old Cronulla one and they should go back to something similar. But this time they should get an adult to draw the shark.

Dont like the current penrith logo. Favourite is Bulldogs followed by parra

The bunnies logo is definitely iconic and recognisable. Pretty much a unique name in global sports

Love Parras old balls logo they've gone back to, awesome stuff.

Our logo should be this

You do great work Gaz.

+1, i was showing all my mates how good that logo was, they seriously need to consider this, your one atm is too plain. Honestly i have a theory that the logos that work the least are the ones of the mascot that only shows a part of the whole 'animal' or 'human'. For example the Panthers old logo from the 80's and 90's showed the whole Panther rather than just the head, and that one of course is a favourite.

Favs:
Broncos, Warriors, Rabbitohs.

And since I wasn't born in the 70's circular logos with the mascot in the middle and the wording circulating around it aint all that original and classic. (soz that they're huge)

You can really see the influences of the different eras.

80's/90's you had the circle or sheild designs.

Recent times more teams have opted for logos without the Primary Shape. Like the Knights, Broncos, Panthers, Tigers, Raiders, Titans.

Or have had their mascots go over the borders in the case of the Sharks, Cowboys, CC Bears, Sea Eagles, Roosters.

Thankgod Parra changed back to their original, cause their previous two were amoungst the worst. I'd imagine It'd be hard to design a logo featuring an Eel though.

Yuk!

Why is there green? and dont say blue and yellow make green.

Edit: Just realised their current (former) logo has green too, whats the story with that?

The Eels logo previous to that was far worse purely because that the colours were completely off wack.

The Roosters is probably the only club to keep their design from the late 90's/early 2000's comic book designs.

roosters_2007.jpg

This was a great logo for the club: a mixture of the old design with the newer striking one. Just change '100 Years' to Roosters, 'Eastern Suburbs' across the top and 'Est. 1908' below the main wording and make that their logo.

Reminds me of the early to mid 80's scanlens sticker books.

f**k they were great for a young kid.

Marketers should be lined up with lawyers and be pelted with stones for all the shit they've done over the years.

The early 2000's inspired toons of today are embarrassing.

I love the Saints logo for one reason - its the same as it was in 1982 when I started following them.

The wording, sure. The logo's the same.

This thread makes me feel good about life. Shit was simpler and lots less complicated in the 80's.

I wanna go back to the days of leaded petrol, styrofoam containers at maccas and pub rock.

Oh, and mullets of course.
