 the history behind the rabbitohs name has to do with their area being slums where rabbit meat was sold (one of the few meats the poor people living there could afford) and the rabbit meat vendors would yell out "rabbit-oh! Rabbit-oh!"

The real history of the Eels name is much better

Pulled out my old emblem cards from the late 80's. Reckon pretty much every team (bar the giants) had a great logo, old tigers, roosters, panthers, raiders.... all look better than the current models.

Have that "front on" facing bronco emblem as well......was this ever used as the official logo on the jerseys or was it just an advertising thing?

Not that I would know, but seeing as the Horse is wearing a Broncos jersey with their old logo on it, I would say this was just for advertising.

Its indigenous you dumb f*ck, not like you lot which (appropriately) use a feral pest.

You toothless metho drinkers like to portray yourself as the indigenous team, yet we have been celebrating our indigenous links of the logo since 1947.

No wonder Sandow left you fakes!

Yeah Loudstrat, he could at least have been creative.

For those who don't know, 'Parramatta' is translated as 'where the Eels lie down'. Apt these days, but I can hardly poke fun as a Tigers fan. Unless it's at LOL@5(c)uFF$!

They did a set during 95 with a richer colour palette. Opinions will vary but at the very least they're interesting to look at.

It is actually "place of many eels". Given our form, we lie down everywhere! :(

But hey we can always poke fun at Souffs. We can remember winning premierships, and dont have to consult the Dead Sea Scrolls to read bout it, unlike the feral pest promoting Souffs.

I went with Manly, Tigers, Warriors.

Manly have kept the same basic shape through their history:

I went with the Broncos, Knights and Sharks. I like that they are not too cluttered, not too cartoonish. If I could pick a fourth, it would have been the Eels.

The colours don't do Penrith any favours, black purple teal red and yellow makes for a 90's inspired mess. Less colours would help. Wordmark needs an update too.
