What did Vella do wrong? he carted the ball up strong and defence was solid... gee you people are harsh on Mick....

As for McKinnon....I just dont rate him, never have, never will...he has these errors in his game and just doesnt seem to lose them. I thought Petersen was pretty good today, but still, i dont think hes in the top 2 wingers in the club so i cant pick him....

Vella's problem is he makes all his ground before the line

as soon as he hits the line he either stops or goes backwards

Petersen had his best game of the year today (although thats not saying much) but he made 1 crucial error in the 2nd half that luckly didn't see Manly score but wound down the clock and took more petrol out of the tank.

His pace ensures he gets the metres up, hits the line and generally gets a good quick play the ball.

He's not a typical prop with legs like tree trunks, his agility and speed is his best asset.

Ever since we rated McKinnon as a possible City fullback and should be resigned, he's made some crucial mistakes. Seriously he makes good breaks and is a good support player, but I cant understand why he's made some blunders this year.

Alot of people are keeping Delaney in their sides, bad decision IMO. He's been very disappointing since his promotion, too many penalties and errors and his attack has been very limited. I'd drop him and mould him into a second rower for the rest of the year and bring him back next year (assuming he's still with us).

Agility? He's not very mobile anymore mate. He's got good speed for a prop but who cares about speed when you hit the line like a teenage girl and get driven back a minimum 2 metres. And his defence is pathetic, cost us a try today and that wasn't the first one.

While I can respect that you like Micky V for what he's done for the club, the fact is he's an awful prop in almost every part of his game. You can't pick someone on what they did 4 - 5 years ago and expect to move foward, he's costing us games and should be marked "never to play first grade again". Adam Peek too, he's almost as bad as Vella but at least Peek can defend (usually).
