Dunno bout you guys but if they defect to Union IMO they shouldn't be eligible, just like if you get suspended you aren't eligible for Dally M team of the year. Besides, I can't agree that tuqiri is better, Matty Utai has become almost unstoppable and on a more consistent basis recently.

point taken about Lote, but he did play 3 yrs of the 00s so he is eligable.

not sure about utai being unstoppable...he sure wasnt unstoppable when he played NQ and Matt Sing. Sing scored 3 tries on him and prevented Utai from scoring one ;-)

Utai was also dropped from 1st grade early in 2004 for bad form. Lote has never been dropped for bad form!

Utai was dropped through injury mate, and due to tonga harris and lolesi all being in superb form he had to fight his way back in.

Utai has been unstoppable every game since then, he tore apart Melbourne and penrith and had a blinder in the GF.

I guess I just think it's stupid how you're all proclaiming the media darlings teams players' in this idea, and including all of 1 or maybe 2 Bulldogs.

so Utais good form for say 1 1/2 seasons (2002 and half 2004) makes up for Lotes three great yrs for the Broncos 2000-2002?
Utai was dropped for FORM...NOT INJURY after that dismal game vs the Knights in Newcastle.
Red and Blue Knight just backed up.

While you're right, I'm sorry, but Tuqiri is a traitor. He doesn't deserve a spot IMO

he wont be forgotten..not by this broncos supporter. Whilst i didnt like him going to union, it is his life and he has to live and die with the choices he makes.
Lote wont make my all time broncos squad on the wing (sailor and hancock) but he did have an impact the time he was there 1999-2002.

Tupou could be anything...could be Jonah Lomu or could be Stu Kelly!

Btw Kiwi ... how can you not split Berrigan and Wing ? Surely ye jest ? Admittedly Wing's form this year hasnt been his best, but he's still very dangerous in any position. Berrigan, on the other hand, couldnt play halfback, 5/8 or hooker if his life depended upon it. Nah he's not that bad j/k . But he's no way near Wing's class as a utility.

Yes I agree Wing is the better hooker, and maybe the better halves player ( kicking wise anyway ), but Berrigan is the better centre, better back row player. Both have their values, and I think they are equally as strong in their own way.
Kiwi, the last time Wing played in the centres he won Australia a test match. He was close to best on ground if you remember. Wing can certainly play centre, its just that he is even better at half/5/8/hooker.

Also, how can you say "maybe even the better halves player". Sorry but there is just no doubt. He is a Premiership winning player in the halves, and finished top 5 in the DallyM's that year as a half. He's also represented Australia and NSW at 5/8 and done very well.

Dont get me wrong, Berrigan is a quality player but Wingy is just better, put simply.

blacklock could score tries...but thats about it! Defence was "suspect" to say the least.

Lote, Tahu, and Sing have much higher claims

Could score tries but that's about it! Am I a moron, or do tries win matches? Blacklock's defence may have been "suspect" but you compare his tries to the tries he let in

Lote Tuquiri, Matt Rogers, Wendell Sailor & Nathan Blacklock were immediately withdrawn from the calculations when looking at my team. As a Bronco fan, I will never cheapen the effort of either Sailor or Lote, though I will not put them in a team before players who have stayed loyal to the code from 2000 onwards hence the selection of Tahu and Minichello who just pipped Matt Sing.

Lote lays a solid claim to the team, his performance is there for all to see, but IMO only, he was not qualifying in my team for the above fact alone.

Going off all but a couple of sides, it is hard to give one definite answer on the "ideal" lineup all barring a few positions held by Lockyer, Fittler, Johns and Webcke.

Wing on the other hand is a Premiership winning h/b.

that he is, but then why didnt Stuart use him 2003 and 2004!!!

Finch

I agree with you ... Wing is such a good halfback that to be honest, I simply have never seen what our coaching staff see in Finch. We've won a premiership with Wing at halfback, and none without him there. Go figure :(

Hahaha If ever the was a fault at the roosters it was Finch.

Everybody has picked similary teams no need to add anyone else except Kennedy in 2000, 2001, and 2002 was exceptional for the knights.

But that is the point really isn't it... a player who is a try scoring machine doesn't win the match for his team by scoring 3 and letting in 4...

Na, just leave Finch there! It gives us something to talk about each year when you choke!
