I agree that one prop and one second row position are really looking for someone to step up and claim them.
I'm willing to give them all an equal chance at it and Daniel Anderson, as opposed to Michael Hagan, strikes me as the kind of fellow who will not tolerate mediocre for very long.
Our front rower stocks are pretty low, which will help Cordoba, but there are definitely guys waiting in the wings to fill those positions if the skill and commitment of those selected this week aren't demonstrated.
It's up to the players to capitalise on opportunities ... if Cordoba doesn't lift he may find himself a Magpie sooner rather than later and the same with Hauraki.
I think this week's selections indicate who is "next in line".

On a side note, as long as Lowrie is making tackles, not missing them, and not going missing in attack, I'm happy for him to be in the 17. I posted somewhere else that I don't see how Hindmarsh won't be tackling his guts out again this year (we continually hear about how he's going to focus more on what he achieves with the ball in hand), especially with the other workers - Robinson and Wagon now missing. That's where Lowrie comes into frame. He mightn't be great, but he might just be the man for the job.
I'd prefer a champion team that combines to achieve a purpose than a gaggle of champion players that can't complement each other effectively.
