This is bullsh*t. It's not funny anymore. The excuses being trotted out to cover for Morris, and back up Sheens' persistence is appalling. The arrogance and gullibility amazing. Almost like there seems to be some sort of spite involved. When Prince quit, an attitude took root- "Screw him, we don't need a good halfback. Just give Benji the ball, and we'll show Prince was being carried.". Now it's- "Not only do we not need a good halfback, we don't need a halfback, at all... we got Robbie. Robbie's the main man. A halfback will just get in the way." Sheens signed Morris to play Half, for 3 years, at least. It isn't even half way yet. More brilliant games to come I fear. Suspect that Head was signed to quell dissent, for 1 season, just to fill in when JM gets injured.
Sheens will persist until the season is shot, and it all hangs on a couple of crucial games, for the 8. He then might concede, and throw Head on at 7. The team will buckle, under pressure, again, and Sheens can roll Morris back out, after Head's season expires, and proclaim that Head couldn't do any better than JM. Heaven and Earth will be moved in an attempt to make this fetish work. Morris was just barely adequate, as HB, in round 1 and 2. It was only a matter of time, before he was exposed... again. Dragons and Cows defence and attack, was awful. They gave WT's halves heaps of room, and did not test John Morris, in the least. They did not move up fast in defence, and generally stood back, waiting. Also, they made the mistake of targeting the strong positions in the WT side. Bulldogs did not. They knew Morris was crap, and got in his face, knowing he had the reflexes of a sloth on quaaludes.
