The team to play the Eels just announced...

1. Tim Moltzen
2. Taniela Tuiaki
3. Blake Ayshford
4. Chris Lawrence
5. Beau "First-Man-In-After-A-Try" Ryan
6. Benji Marshall
7. Robert Lui
8. Bryce Gibbs
9. Robbie Farah
10 Todd Payten
11. Gareth Ellis
12. Danny Galea
13. Chris Heighington

14. John Morris
15. Corey Payne
16. Alan Shirnack
17. Keith Galloway

My only question is Heighington at Lock. I'm not a massive fan of him at Lock. My only thought is that its so that he can be wherever he needs to be to halt the Parra Big Boppers and offloads from half line-breaks. His energy has been down but his defensive technique has stopped us from getting the wooden spoon in 07 and 08.

Thoughts?

Keith on the bench ?

Maybe just wants to keep him fresh for impact in the second 20 of the first half. He has impact but not sure whether he's what we should be calling an "impact off the bench forward".

In other news, Kris Keating and Feleti Mateo will be playing park footy rather than being slotted back in. I was actually hoping Mateo would replace Mortimer because Mortimer has been superb and Mateo usually needs a game or two to get going...plus he's an error bandit!

I like it actually.

Galloway on the bench is a great idea. The Parra forwards, if contained, run out of puff real quick. We've named a pretty solid defensive pack, if they can keep the Parra forwards out of the contest in the first half hour, look to Galloway running on with 10 to go in the first half, f**k me, he'll carve up big time.

We need to keep Mateo and Moi Moi quiet, if we do that we'll have this one in the bag.

And kick to the corners all day long

Mateo has destroyed us the last few times, glad he's not playing.

I reckon Lui is a sh*t player and will be exposed. Should of picked Hanbury at 1 and Moltzen at 7.

Keith on the bench ?

Could be because of this
"Skipper Robbie Farah, with a calf injury, and prop Keith Galloway, with a hand injury, also sat out training at Concord Oval on Tuesday but are not in doubt for the clash at the Sydney Football Stadium."

NRL.COM

If he's sore and missing training this week mayb they want to nurse him a bit by giving him less minutes but still keep the impact he provides

Mateo will be very rusty.

He's a form type of player, he won't be at his best at all when he comes back. The Eels are probably best off saving him tell next week, but then again, if they lose, what's the point.

Lot's of things to consider.

I think he'd be ok even if he was rusty, he wont be asked to make 40 tackles of 20 hitups - more there for creating offloads, off the bench after 20 minutes even if rusty could cause some damage, particulary with Burt and Hayne runing of him all day.

I will be very worried if Mateo plays. I think he is the answer to the game.

And I take back saying Lui was sh*t. But really...He didn't play that well...And I reckon Hanbury is the answer, cuz he's solid and predictable. And thats what we need.

Yeah definitely. I don't want him there, but if he is of course, the saving grace is the lack of fitness.

This really doesn't mean anything.....

A similar Broncos side to the one that belted Penrith lost 56-0 to Canberra. At the time Parramatta were a basket case. They've really turned around their season and atm with the Tigers the two form sides of the comp.

I tell you something funny ( well to me anyway ) the last time the Tigers were shooting for 7 in a row i think was 2007, the team that stopped them was Parramatta 38-8 with Hayne, Fui, Burt and Mateo in amazing form that night;-) that quote me on that, but would be weird if that was the case.

Hey Madunit, miss me? i still dream about the time you spanked my bottom when i was dressed up like a scout:p

tbh i wouldn't worry about Mateo though, whats the bet Fui is ordered to run at Benji:roll:

Is it a good thing for the Tigers that they played Cronulla last week, as well as the short turnaround you guys think? that's why i'm pretty confident we'll win..

I would think the tigers are going to get a spanking no matter who they have and the eels will continue on their way
