i agree, hes been playing some good footy, he was great against the storm. plus having him (a genuine halfback) there, makes our attacking structre look ten times better, having mullen and scotty on either side of the ruck with kids playing first and 2nd reciever everynow and then to trick the defense. god arent we starting to pull together a fantastic looking side? well done smithy!

come on scotty - pull through mate! despite what others may say, we need you badly in brisbane!
I'm the eternal optimist, including actually really believing we could win last Saturday, but I must admit my heart sunk a little when I heard Scotty may be out. I hate being negative, because that's Karma's job, but if Scotty doesn't play, I don't think we can get the job done with Bailey at five-eight and Mullo at halfback :(

Not only that but Mullen isnt exactly 100% and Bailey seems to be good for dropping a ball a game lately.

Gee things are dire at the Knights...

We've gone from being reliant on the best halfback to ever play rugby league playing in the 7 to win games of football, to being reliant on The Messiah - Dureau to win a game of football

Brisbane is a tough game, no matter who plays - even Andrew Johns.

Actually Dureau's game against Brisbane earlier this year was one of his worst. Hopefully he gets a chance at redemption.

Can't believe Taia is almost ready to come back.

Taia in for Marv and I am extremely confident of a win.

if taia and dureau both play we have a very good shot.

brisbane in brisbane to fairwell uncle wayne must not be underestimated though. there are a few old heads in that brisbane team that will not want to send bennett off a loser... one in particular worries me... i think his name is darren something or other.

There were like 12486248 intercept tries this round.

Never seen so many in space of 3 days...

How anyone can put Taufua to the bench after last nights defence is beyond me.

I'm becoming a fan. Have been looking forward to seeing some of what you were raving about, and it's beginning to emerge. I hope we re-sign him and can certainly see him in our top 17. But that said, if all toops available would you really have him in starting side at this stage? I think elsewhere you admitted that right now in their development Taia's more advanced as lock. Simmo and Pato are surely automatic as second-row if fit. Taufua as starting prop alongside Cross doesn't sound outrageous, but Tolar and Royal haven't done much wrong as the incumbants either.

First players player of the year with 100% votes.

Macavity said Cross got players' player? Taufua was old boys' pick? :?

at the presentation he did.

doesnt mean that was the vote in the sheds - they may have changed it as mark was to get the old boys award, perhaps.

Hmm, sounds feasible, although I don't see why he shouldn't have been awarded both if he got the votes. Maybe Pika can clear it up. Anyway, they were both certainly worthy. Cross finally put in the truly dominant performance we've been waiting for.

Edit: Just read about Taufua re-signing. Great news :D but we may have to wait for Pika to sober up for clarification about the players' votes.
