Headline should read "Kearney backed into a corner not sure who to bounce"
so randomly chooses someone who played 10 mins from the bench! That's the MO

At least this season the stability of selection is based on winning more than they lost - last year they were always shit... at the end of the day his philosophy seems to be the "pick and stick" one...

You know in the end, for me at least the Warriors have exceeded all expectations I had of them this year and if they can improve in 2019 instead of hitting the panic button and flushing three quarters of the squad as they seem to have done in the past we might finally get over this rebuilding stage that seems to have been going since 2002

Yeah, I agree - we're not a chance at winning the whole thing at the moment, but top 8 is a significant step on recent years. I hope Ah Mau and the young forwards improve us further, so that we can consistently be top 8, and soonish become a serious challenger come finals time

Considering "experts" gave us a good chance of collecting the wooden spoon this year ….

So I take it from all the negative Nellies on both Forum that we are no chance because our Coach is rubbish, especially his selections.

So if the Warriors bounce back for the Umpteenth (A Numeral New Zealanders invented out of thin air) time and beat the Broncos that the fans are out of step with the reality of the strides the club are making this season....

I wait with anticipation to see which way the cards fall.

For me if we win this particular game given the circumstance...Kearney has something..,..something akin to a very good coach....after all no recent Warriors side would win this game (recent in Warrior years is anything after 2011....it is now 2018....quite a gap there.

Didnt we put 50 on them at Brisbane a few years back, with Hurrell in the side? That must be post 2011.
I have recollections of the LETSGONEWARRIORS Flag in the crowd.

I'd like to see the Warriors bounce back and beat the Broncos. And there's always a chance, as we do tend to lift against them for some reason. We'll be doing well to do that though.

I think the general negativity is to do with our slide from top 4 contender to top 8 participator and the way that we've lost these last 2 games, particularly Penrith.

I'm preparing myself for Hiku to play really well tomorrow. There's no other conceivable reason for him to backup after last week's debacle. The coach must know his much-maligned player has the abilty to do this, and that he will.

If that's not the case then Mooks is unfit for professional coaching, and he'd be sabotaging our season. I believe it's the first scenario, it just has to be.

Wasn't the 'Lets gone' after a loss? (I can't remember if there was an apostrophe in the 'Lets').

Hiku does have good games no mistake

But he he has so many bad ones, or so many mistakes - he's not alone there, and Kearney has shown he likes to stick with a core group, guess that mirrors Bellamy and Bennett. Key difference is they either have better talent or tend to eliminate the poor performances. Seemed like Kearney had achieved the latter for a while, but clearly not there yet (talking team not Hiku)

I looked it up. It was the 2013 season, Elliots first season in charge. We lost 6 of our first 7 games but went on 5 win streak during origin. then won a few lost a few and missed the playoffs by 2pts.
(I think the Letsgonewarriors sign came to be after the horrific start to the season but was still being waved at games we won)

Round 12 Brisbane Broncos Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane
Warrors win 56-18 Try scorers: Vatuvei (2), Fisiiahi (2), Hurrell (2),
Leuluai (2), Packer, Locke Johnson

Interestingly Sio Siua Taukeiaho made his debut for the club that year, but we let him go..

A couple of weeks after we beat the Broncos, we beat the Roosters in Sydney with a Fish special.

Lino and Aysford have dropped off the extended bench.

Still time for something sensible to happen. Sao at least needs to be on the bench.

Maybe Beale will start at center with Hiku on the wing?

Like Denan Kemp's sideline conversion to win it late at Brookie in '09 (after Stacey's 'comeback kid' bust late in the game), that flick pass from Lowrie was his only memorable moment for the Warriors.

You're right, 'Lets Gone Warriors' haunted us right through 2013. So many Warriors seasons are best left in the past.
