I mentioned last week about my doubts of Kearney of actually fielding both Hiku and Beale for the Panthers and this was AFTER he had already named both of them to play. Come game day, my doubts were confirmed as he took Beale out and went with Hiku only. I think Beale had a late niggle or something like that.

I wouldn't be surprised if Kearney made another late change to the team this week just as I suspected last week.

i would have thought we would have put great importance in fielding our best possible team for this game. Not resting stars like some of you are suggesting.
1) we have a fair crack at getting 5th or 6th which means home.

Initially I thought it was a nothing game. Now that I know we could get 5th or 6th, I agree with you that it is worth fielding our best. As long as it is GUARANTEED that we make 5th or 6th and that we dont have to depend on others game then yeah, field our best.

In the end, what we think counts for nothing. Its Kearney that picks the team. If he chooses to rest, well I totally understand. If he chooses to give everything and risk injury to our stars in this non-final game, well I understand as well.

I'm not too fussed now to be honest. Just bring it whoever it is. As long as I get to watch us play finals footy.

Lets just hope that corked calf of Kakariki heals up 100% for the finals. The finals is what matters.

Speaking of injuries - The Raiders have been without the services of Cezar, Tapine, Croker and Hingano. I dont think any of them will be playing this week.

Not too fazed at Green not being there. Obviously he’s our best 6 but Lino is capable and I’d also like to see all possible combos as match tested as possible come the finals- and the SJ/Lino combo is the one that’s had the least game time so far. It’s also one that’s likely going to be our number one combo at some point as Green is definitely gonna be the first to hang up the boots.

We require results to go our way, but not only wins and losses but by how many points also.

No, I don't think we've missed him either. Although, there were times this season when I thought we needed a fix at centre, and Ayshe was the go-to guy, because of his form, and reliable reputation, from last year.

Wednesday morning, does anyone else want to freeze this moment? We're playing finals, with a round to go. It's exciting, and I don't want it to end.

Not sure how we'd miss someone like Ayshford - or for that matter Beale, or even Hiku - you miss big time players - Johnson, RTS, Green, perhaps the wings - Ayshford does a competent job, he's certainly not special

But, I reckon we probably missed Ayshford on the edge in the game at Penrith LOL
