Big Ken was carrying a shoulder after to the match, I'd bring Beale in for him as the only change, unless Green is OK.

Harris, Hiku and Fus should they are crazy dangerous when together, I'd like to see them stay together.

Hikus defence is still a let down for the team and could cost Harris an injury in Harris having to cover Hikus missed tackles. Harris had to help out when Kikau ran through Hiku last week. But yeah, on attack they are quite dangerous.

I'd chuck Hiku on the wing for big Ken.

Hope Lukes niggle is ok as well...

why couldnt Fus and Hiku just swap positions on D? Fus played there all last year or is he not much better making defensive reads either? At least he wouldnt be a turnstile. Or it it an ego thing?

What is putting Hiku on the wing outside Kata going to achieve? He's not going to get the ball in attack and is still going to have to defend, which you admit is not his strong suit.

We know he has bad defence but good attack. The outside backs don't do much defence but plenty of attack. Also on the wing he can get better reads and also has the sideline which is a wingers friend on defence.

He had a good game at fullback when he covered an injured RTS for the week. Made a few errors there, but overall, showed that he can strongly return the ball on the kick returns.

Against the Panthers just gone, he was part of a dangerous looking right side as BLN2 pointed out. However, all he did was catch and pass well and Beale can do that AND make his tackles. It's actually the inclusion of Harris that puts the D in dangerous for that right side. One nice example was when Harris got the ball and realised the Panthers defence were drifting thick and fast, so Harris straightened causing the Panthers to pull up a bit on their drift before he fired it out to Hiku, Hiku to Fus, try!

Hiku on the wing, not Beale pleaaaase.

It will achieve getting Beale out of too many kick returns/early set hit ups... which he is just not good at.

There is talk of Blake Green resting this one out, which I'm quite happy with, he has had a long season and Mason Lino actually deserves the reward if it comes his way.
It is great that they could Rest Beale too if needed another week without any concerns.

I think our away record has negated the dire need for a home semi, so I wouldn't be too upset if they rested a few key players.

I doubt they will get carried away though, Kearney will want momentum going into next week.

However if you could rest any three players...so you are the coach for this week who would you keep back ? (Lets assume Blake Green and Beale are fully fit to return).

I'd like to see Luke have a week to rest that shoulder. Lawton + Jazz go nuts.

Hiku in at fullback for RTS, just because RTS is RTS.

I would run Lino and Green to give SJ the week off as well....pretty much putting two and a lot million dollars of cap on cotton wool.

Hiku wing and Beale centre, just seems like the best way to incorporate each players strengths to the side. At the same time isolating their weaknesses.

It wouldn't surprise any of us if Kearney continued with his questionable selection of Hiku at centre. I think Kearney can see his defensive flaws but knows that defence is normally an easy fix and so he believes Hiku can get that right. Obviously its not so easy for Hiku who's struggling to repay the faith in that department.

It'll be interesting to hear of the twos selection for this week.

I'd probably also rest Fusitua and Harris.

Touche ! bloody hilarious.

In all seriousness your opinion of the one point loss to the Dogs hasn't been shifted by their strong form before that game and the thirty eight nil record thrashing of the Dragons Rich ?

I have the Dogs beating up the Sharks next week.

I rate the dogs...and therefore have a hard time being too critical of our loss to them.

SK was just on NRL 360.
Didnt give too much away like always, but did say Simon Mannering is a strong chance of being around the club in some capacity next year. Not sure what role that would be though as coaching doesnt look his go.

But did make a serious attempt on the world record for "you knows" in a short interview - "lads" notable for its absence

(I know you're kidding).

Seriously though, it's Mannering's 300th. There's no place for 'B' sides.
yeah, I know Canberra have finally found some form - but they had better f**king win for Simon - least they can do given what he's done for them
