Laurie needs to curb his enthusiasm defensively though. Too often it looks like he's going to give away a late shot on the kicker penalty, and too often he comes out of the line and leaves up with a mis match. If his timing was slightly better, he could pull off some great tackles as he has done so in the past.
He also needs to hit the ball up in a more compressed position rather than be flimsy. He needs to time his runs a bit better because it seems like he often overruns the mark.
Only small parts of his game need fixing, he could easily develop into a good player.
You're beginning to sound like Sheens :sarcasm:
Laurie should play the way he plays best, running around like a mad man and intimidating the f**k out of anyone that gets in his way. With experience he will learn how to more effectively run with the ball and improve his timing in attack and defence. Sure he will come up with some errors, particularly early in his career, but he will bring a lot more to the team than his errors will cost us.
Turning him in to your standard meat and potatoes hit up prop will take away from all the good in his game i.e. his intimidation, enthusiasm and his unpredictability
