This is the most deflated I have felt about the Warriors ever, there's usually been a chance for a comeback whatever the situation but this is different. The team clearly plays better and wins this year with TMM at halfback, yet we're going into an Emporer's New Clothes phase where SJ is not only selected, the whole rest of the season is a victory lap for him even though we probably lose every game. I can't help feeling Shaun and that Dodds guy have already made the soc/med stuff that's going to ramp up every week from goat to GOAT!!!! irrespective of probably terrible results

Honestly, having reflected on the pod he did after the retirement, I feel like SJ missed a chance to be humble. I still love the guy, but why not say hey...I appreciate the love, but I played with a guy who played 301 games for the Warriors as a one club player, 45 tests, captained us at 26 years old to a GF, carried this club on his back and basically wore himself into the ground keeping us away from a spoon in those horror years.

Simon Mannering is the Warrior, daylight is second, then we can start to have a conversation from there.

I actually welcome this. We need to win our 4 games. I get the sentimental value of letting SJ play the last few games, but I would as a minimum play in the final home game next week. TMM/CHT can work more games together. Metcalf is working himself back into footy in NSW ready for 2025.

If Sifakula does play, will he play edge or middle? If middle, will Ale play on an edge?

Or is it more likely Sifakula only gets 8 minutes late in the game when we're already down by 20 so it doesn't really matter where he plays?

On the teams I think we'll beat them in the forwards but, probably, won't win the game, due to their better finishing on attack. We'll have twenty chances and convert two, they'll have ten and score four.

Take it a step further and the Warriors probably initiated his retirement with grace.

Even if the Quad is a problem (I'd believe it) a review of his legs since he started playing in a dinner suit would see chronic groin (the reason given for not kicking goals anymore) the Achilles, and the hamstring tightness.

He had time off for a Chest injury but that is a separate issue. The nature of these long term leg problems has meant people throwing their toys about the playing injured thing. It is not that simple, I have been banging on about this for a while, SJs legs are done, there is always reports of niggles with them and the proof is clear for all to see, the guy cannot even train with the team.

The Warriors would have been nuts to include Johnson in their plans beyond this season. You do have to wonder about the thigh injury, sounds a bit like Tohu's wrist....

What surprises are install today? The Dolphins are a very good attacking side, not so much defence.

We could get smashed here, hope not, I am hoping for the best. A decent showing will do me. Win or lose.

is Leka injured too or a straight coaches decision? I would have liked to have persevered with him as he is one of the few game breakers in the side. It could be an age thing i guess and they felt he needed a break.

Gotta give him the ball for him to be a game breaker...

Anyway, don't think Leka injured as he was listed in the NSW Cup 17. Don't know if he actually played, though
