Smith said they were not to sure about Uate but he was close last week and they will give him every chance.

I'd be more than happy with that team, Cross showed some signs his comming into form. Plus Patto will be much better for the run as well.

Have we got Hages as coach again? Mullo on the bench - well, that'll do me ...

Why bother changing a winning combination? Mullen off the bench has worked well for us the past two weeks. Consistancy and stability in our teams is something we've struggled with for years, and now we're finally seeing some you want Smith to chop and change unneccesarily? That'll do me...

I know if it aint broke, don't fix it, but as Smith said last week, sometimes you need to fix it before it is broke (and that's when you obviously miss the competition points). IMO we need to be able to score points against the Dragons. Their defence is almost impenetrable. To score points, we need Mullen starting - whether that's at the expense of Dureau or Rogers, I don't think it really matters, although I'd get rid of Rogers. If Ben has a great game on Saturday (highly unlikely) then I'll come in here and give him the plaudits he deserves. All in all, Mullen needs to start, although it wouldn't surprise me if, as someone else has already said, he starts and Dureau shifts back to the bench.

That team and the team that will run onto the park will be nothing alike.

I expect Mullen will start this week, it would be a huge shock if he doesn't.

I also can't see Dureau making the final 17 at all against a Dragons team playing 2nd rowers in the centres.

I think the Benchwarmer might be playing for Macquarie soon.

Smith hasn't made up his mind on a starting team yet. and it looks like he has left every possible option open with all those train on players.

I might be the only one here that is kinda confident about getting a win here...

The Dragons have had the wood on us but remember those wins have been mostly at Newcastle.. The last 2 away games we have played them we have won.

If you browse through the Dragons forums you would think that they couldnt possibly be beaten and that trophy is as good as theirs... yeah they have been in good form but they can easily be beaten at the same time and its more likely to come in front of their home fans..They were lucky to get Cronulla there a few weeks back..

Also, they are missing a few good players which can only help.. Smith's record over Bennett isnt a bad one either.

My tip? Ben Rogers to score the matchwinner from a scrum 10 out from the Dragons line to send the Saints home disappointed :)

karma for once i agree. Though i am a benchwarmer fan smithy can't go past a team with size. Though as i said in another thread i still would like to see scotty even on the bench to give us some attacking edge. Other wise its like fielding four centres.

Surely Head deserves the benchwarmer title owner over Scotty. Kid has got to have a fair amount of splinters on his backside.

If they can hide Soward in defence no reason why Dureau can't play.

If we're going to win, this game will be tight, and dumbass penalties aren't going to help.

Soward doesn't hide anywhere in defence. If you think he does you need to watch the games a little closer.

Good luck to you all this week, hope to see plenty of you Knights fans down at the Mighty Kogarah Jubilee Oval this Saturday afternoon / evening.
May the best team win. :)

I cant help but wonder why karawana is still considered for 1st grade. His contract runs out this year and I'm sure he wont be resigned for next year, plus he hasn't shown me much in any of the games he's played in.

LOL!!

My best friend is a Dragons fan and more so a Jamie Soward fan.
So thanks to this I've been put through every single dragons game this year.
Soward is hidden out towards the fringes and has Beau Scott protect/tackle for him all game long.
Every man and his dog can both see it and has heard about it.
It's not exactly a secret?

Its the Carroll/Lockyer situation re-incarnated in a less talented pair.

He had a Johns-like performance in the real NRL last week.

He could be a top 25 filler so we can offer more to our big guys.

I dont think Karawana is all that bad. Nothing special but gets the job done. Perfect fill in the rest of the cap kinda guy. Played in the halves when he was younger didnt he? Means he'll cover both backs and forwards.

Went to the Saints vs Broncos game up here a few weeks back and Soward defended at right centre for most of the game I think...make of that what you will :)
