(I'm the one who posted the original comment about the Saffy try in the other thread)

I don't claim to be an expert on the game, certainly not defence thats for sure...but fair enough if thats how it is then thats how it is. I just posted that off watching the try in realtime + the replays. It honestly reminded me of Prince turning Rogers inside out against the Titans though!

I am not having a go at you mate.

At first watch it looks like a simple missed tackle.

But at closer look there was a fair bit going wrong.

Its clear CJG is a massive Dureau fan because he might have said g'day or gave a smile someday or something...

I guess that makes him an automatic selection in the first grade team.

Thankfully, anyone with rugby league common sense thinks differently, including the coach.

Anyone who didn't see the class of Rogers last night, and wants to nitpick at the bloke for backing himself on the park, is a deadset goose. Nitpicking at the guys defence especially is a JOKE , given the bloke you'd prefer in there instead is one of the biggest turnstiles in the NRL!!

Don't worry, Dureau might be able to come sit with you guys in the next few weeks and watch the boys play, up then ante from the smile and wave and hold your hand or something.

It's not the fact that he backed himself, it's the time is chose to do it. If we were down by 6 then no problem even if the opposition scored off the mistake, at least he would have been trying soemthing, but why would you do it on your own 30 metre line with minutes left on the clock when leading by 6?

Instead of going for the little chip-kick, why not get the ball down the other end, kick it into touch, the in-goal or trap the opposition in their own 10/20 and make them work up field for 80/90 metres.

He wasn't on his own 30 mate. If you look at the game again, they were in the opposition half a fair way over the half way line.

Either way, it was wrong to do it, and I'm sure Brian Smith gave him a lashing after the game about it, at the same time as congratulating him for winning us the game with his try for Mad Dog...

Thats all right. Saffy went in between the inside defender who has the responsiblity for pushing up and shutting down the defender first which he didn;t do with the outside defender being Rogers coming over the top. To put the blame all on Rogers is plain wrong in this instance.

CJG, when did you join the Crusade???

You havent?? Where are you sitting?? I want to hold hands with Scotty.....

Just when I start to think Karma is doing well and making some reasonable arguments, usual service resumes.

Tim, not in the crusade I'm just really tall and lanky and can reach him with my super stretchy arms from Canberra. He reached out and high fived my super stretched out arm and that's why I like him clearly..
