I am kind of caught in limbo between wanting to play to make the finals and wanting to go ahead and prepare for next season…

Anyway-

1- Tomkins (needs to step up big time- thought about shifting him into the halves)
2- Maumolo
3- Kata
4- Hurrell
5- Vatuvei
6- Townsend (maybe Lolohea should be playing at 6…)
7- Lolohea
8- Lillyman
9- Friend
10- Matulino
11- Hoffman (he's back isn't he?)
12- Mannering
13- Ikahihifo

Res- Lisone, Vete, Faitala-Marriner, Havilli

Tough on Gubb if he misses out, was good last week as were most of the pack. But obviously Hoff coming back necessitates it.

I wouldn't be making any other changes, people are talking about the Pom at 6/7 but in the same breath saying he's not proving himself big enough to break tackles in the open field and not been solid enough as a last line of defence. So how's he going to go with Tyson Frizzell running at him (or Joel Thompson)?

You and me both!! Gubb plays with a lot more passion

Definitely Gubb in, he's a ripper! I doubt the coach will drop him. He would've seen what the rest of us saw last weekend, surely?

This game will tough for me, my bro's bought me a ticket to the Bledisloe (without consulting me first, making sure I couldn't say no).

When the Dragons game's on I'll be on a train not knowing much. Upon arrival I'm bound to find out whether we're back in the top eight or our season's effectively over, that's what this game's all about, no?

Then, either way, it's all All Blacks, meh.

Gubb has played lock in the reserves. I'd put him in there, muts back to prop, Hoffman second row.

That's the only changes we can make logically

1 change. Wright for Hurrell. I assume Hurrell is injured.

Hoffman and Thompson still out

Wow Hurrell must be the new Inu even though I've been harsh on the big man in recent times we need his big trunks for the Dragons. This is going to be embarrassing :(

We're f**ked....

It always takes a lot of the excitement out of it when you see Hurrell's name missing, but really, all those guys from last week back in the same backline? It was in serious need of a bit of defensive ability, especially against a Dragons side that seems to have found some mojo in attack.

Whaaaa?

Running up a score on the worst defensive team in the comp in your last start does not a good attack make. The last time the Dragons scored more than 2 tries in a match before last week was way back in round 13. They're without their best finisher and also without (IMO) their best attacking outside back prospect. That said, have no doubt, we'll find a way to let them in!

Hurrell being left out is stupid. Firstly, I have little/no confidence in Wright's defensive work at centre being any better than Konny - just without the potential for damaging runs with ball in hand. Secondly, YOU DROPPED THE WRONG CENTRE CAPPY!

I would have tried Tomkins at 6, having some sort of ball playing ability in the halves is kinda crucial. All Lolohea is at the moment is a strong ball runner which is more useful at full back. And dropping Hurrell is just looking for a scapegoat who I don't think was even that bad really.

Hurrell the scapegoat again. Don't think he is very happy about it either.

Does seem strange that he's dropped again, but Kata not... Kata's horrific at times, and was exposed badly against the Roosters...

I'm happy with Wright in the team, but only on the wing... centre and 5/8 will continue to be huge issues next year I reckon
