You think $215mill for a racetrack in the city was a popular vote winner lol? At least HBF park is benefitting a much wider audience base.
Hey I think cook is a gronk for thinking the rugby league announcements will make him lose votes

There’s six weeks till the election let’s see what leaks before then

There's only one week left to get the MOU signed before caretaker mode kicks in. If they get the MOU over the line before Feb 5th then expect some funding announcements. If they don't, then don't.

He's not not made announcements due to RL popularity in WA lol, he's not made them as nothing is yet signed with the NRL and he isnt going to commit public funds until those docs are signed.

Do you think that it might be that motor sport is seen as more voter neutral and non-threatening to the dominant past-time (I can`t call it a sport). Large amounts of funding for what may be seen as rival codes is best to be avoided just before an election.
Cook`s advisors would be in his ear telling him to hold back on this one, not a lot of upside in an fumbles state.

I think literally no one wants a racetrack at Burswood lol I love motorsport and have a race car and I don't want it!
I could get the holding back the CofE and jnr funding (though it could have easily been included in the announcements for grassroots sports and the Malaga development that have been made) but the HBF park upgrade would be a popular decision for many sports fans Id suggest.

So no I dont think its to hide it from AFL fans, thats the usual RL tin foil hat nonsense people come up with (basing my assumption on the fact the Premier has been very upfront about supporting an NRL club to the fact he posted on his own media him leading a chant with 20k RL fans!), I think its because, as the Premier and Vlandys have both said, the agreements have not yet been signed.

If you peanuts think that an NRL team is an election issue than you're lost causes.

WA liberals have got about as much chance of winning this election as the bears had of winning the premiership 1924-2001.
no one is saying its an election issue alwaysloser, people are saying its not worth bringing up pre-election.

Yes, this group is on a loop. My least favourite part of the loop is when people just speculate based on nothing, and bias.

just checking in for the first time in a few days …. About 15 pages added to the thread with nothing new …. . Loop in full swing .. with perhaps the slightest new wrinkle from the guy who has been telling us to “trust me bro I got an inside source “ for six months now asking for evidence from everyone else …

you mean apart from the confirmation from the WA premier and the ARLC chairman that no deal is yet done? At this point, given that, what news are you expecting?

we didn’t need an inside source to tell us no deal has been done…

When a deal gets done we will be hearing about it before Cook announces it I’m guessing…like PNG it will be leaked to News Ltd
