Lol just bored of the same thing over and over.
Luke - Only turns up half the time. His defence in the early stages was under 8 stuff. We have to stop picking players who we hope turn up but can't rely on them to do so.
Blair - Just doesn't offer enough, we'll passed his best. Doesn't dominate in the middle and renders one side of the field essentially useless if he's on an edge.
Maumalo - You know what, I really like Maumalo, but he was never a winger in the juniors and we only put him there because we needed a replacement Manu. He has done a remarkable job to become a serviceable winger who can defuse bombs and make metres, but he's not a complete winger.
The fact he's come so far and always gives everything is exactly the type of mentality we want from a Warrior.
So just imagine if we had developed him as a second rower. A fast, powerful, edge terrorizing impact player which we haven't had for years.
What would you prefer?
Option A - A limited metre eating winger and Papali'i/Blair on the edge...
Option B - A beastly edge impact forward and A genuine winger with the pace and support play to turn a half chance into a try?
I don't dislike Maumalo, quite the opposite, I hate our development and coaches who have square pegged him into a spot he shouldn't have been.
Hiku - Can't defend at a first grade level. He's just too much of a liability without the ball in hand.
Papali'i - Another one I like but he's been shithouse this year. Seen him go on about Taupau being his inspiration. Quit the gym junkie and learn to football son. We need the best version of Papali'i, not the discount version of Taupau.
Kata - No explanation needed.
Tevaga - Has the heart and desire, but the guy is icing when we need more cake. He can do well off the back of the rest of the team doing well but doesn't offer enough on his own.
Beale - Not a winger at all, could live with him as centre rather than Hiku, but he gets ragdolled too easily and did everything he could to avoid taking a bomb that the Knights scored off.
At this point I'm about 99% bored and 1% frustrated. I just want to enjoy watching the Warriors instead of staring blankly at the screen knowing dumb shit is right around the corner.
