Lawton won't do anything exceptional, but he always brings a lot of energy.

With Luke you're flipping a coin every time and we can't afford to risk it landing on "Can't be f**ked" anymore.

I wouldn't be disappointed if Luke played out the rest of his time in ISP.

I don't think Luke is fully recovered yet. He was played too early because Roache was injured.
Ongoing Roaches injury record is going to be a concern.

As I’ve said before here, having had the same surgery myself I’m amazed he was anywhere near playing at the start of the season. His pre-season would’ve been seriously curtailed, he wouldn’t have been able to do anything for the first 4-6 weeks post surgery other than walk.

Do we not think Roache can go 80mins? All the best teams have 80 minutes from their 9. Smith, Cook, Friend, Hodgson. Heck even the young bloke Mahoney from Parra goes 80mins.

Roache has enough variety in him to be enough of a threat the whole game. IMO if we swap Lawton for another middle we are instantly better.

I would love to know the number of people who took advantage of the get your money back for your season tickets after six rounds thing.

Held onto ours as I love going to the footy regardless and seeing different players in action live.

But damn a lot of people must have been tempted. I guess they were lucky that in that first six rounds people got exposed to that home Doggies win and then another home win against the Titans.

The only good thing about this run of rubbish games is that it’s forced some change to nearer what our best team should look like. If they can find some form and start winning then maybe the season isn’t complete toast. But it’s a long shot.

.

Mr George said that only one person asked for a refund . I’m not sure how many took up the offer. As a result of this Mr George gave the impression that the club was in a good state ... he should come and sit around our Mt Smart seats and listen to the feedback ... fans not happy! Already there are people not turning up around us - empty yellow seats.

The problem is, we had to go 2 from 8 before management woke up to it.

And in Kata’s case several seasons.

Yeah, well, nice there's some love for this team but Hiku is still at centre, Blair hasn't been dropped, and the bench adds nothing - especially as the potato will give Sao 3-5 mins, and probably not use Lawton

interested to see what the "coaches" have come up with to combat the tactics of other teams kicking the ball out of play.

we should have a chance this week with norman out hopefully

Line speed and pressure on kickers would be a good start short term.

Long term, less reliance on outside backs for metres and more powerful forwards.
They ran 4m at best and stopped last week with line speed.

More pressure on kickers also helps.
