Supercoach was talking to Radio Sport Brekkie team and said Blair was ok yesterday but not as good as the Melbourne game. Papa went really good though yesterday.
Said overall, the team has just got to get Better.

Harris Tavita 1 run for 9 metres and 21 metres gained from kicks.

I know he's a rookie and all but it is probably fair enough that he hones his craft for another season or 2 in NSW Cup and then steps in when Green is done.

Safe to say Nikorima is right in this week at #6.

Think we need Howie "they've just got to get down the other end and score some tries" Tamati in the mix

1 RTS
2 Fusitu’a
3 Ayshford. I’m a fan of Hikus. But he’s a fullback. Not a centre. He literally cannot tackle.
4 Herbert
5 Maumalo
6 Nikorima. Not sure if I was watching the same game but CHT was a speed bump defensively. Good lad but needs time developing.
7 Green
8 Satae. Weird I know. But Ah Mau isn’t doing the job starting.
9 Luke
10 Paasi
11 Papali’i
12 Harris
13 Burr though I think he’s about to get a 1 week holiday

Roache
Ah Mau
Afoa
Sao

Ah Mau wasn’t doing a fantastic job off the bench either.

Bitterly disappointed, only RTS seems immune to the Penrose death stroke, and the great Mitchell Pearce took him out of the equation beautifully yesterday.

Long long year once again.

Praise the lord. Blair is up for a suspension.

This is good for Kearney. In essence it’s the alternative to “compassionate leave”. Nice easy way to omit a dud and then it’s easy to say the other dude came in and did the job.

Bring back Sao

A big step in the right direction imo.

No Kata
No Blair (albeit suspended)
No Luke - underperforming
Sao and Lawton to add some spark off the bench

As long as Scappy Doo isn't covering hooker, I'm happy.

Seriously, in terms of change this is about as good as we could have hoped for guys

But that’s what scares me, that’s full strength right?

If we get humped again, what then.

You’re right though, can’t remember the last time I was actually (mostly) happy with selections.

Pretty much. Need someone to replace Tevaga, but I don't see that option in our current top 30.

What a selector, chalk up another loss, and get used to until he is leave on compassionate grounds,

Yeah, I don't know about Lawton over Luke to be honest.

Luke isn't performing as well as he has in the past and Lawton has only exceeded expectations when he's had a change- but I still just feel as if Luke is a better option, if fit.

Agreed, it doesn’t make sense on many levels, if he is dropped then surely you wouldn’t name him in an extended squad, maybe he is touch and go fitness wise so they named him in the 23

He was pretty involved I thought in reserve grade. Then again, their pack was mostly on the front foot.

Issac has been massively down from last year. I initially put that down to his off season surgery because his defence early on was non existent. Then I thought it’s the lack of space being created by the forwards. But last week I watched him more closely and he seemed laboured and without that extra oomph to make an impact. Our better patches in the game appeared to be when he was off.

One thing that always gets me lolling is Issacs twitter. He is so far up the Rabbits bungholes. It’s very different compared to other NRL players who have changed clubs.

Clearly he won’t and shouldn’t be here post this year. Given the player Issac Luke was before coming here compared to now it’s a massive indictment on both his attitude and the clubs professionalism as to how badly his legacy has been tarnished in these years.
