That Manly game is really going to come back to bite us at the back end of the season I think.

Maybe I’m just eternally optimistic, but I feel that we’re not too far off. It astounds me that our best half of footy was when we were throwing it around and offloading at will, yet we’ve put that away? Also with SOS running as much as he has, I think it’s only a matter of time before the rest of the team figure out they need to run off of him as he’s drawing defenders. Our defence has largely been solid, but hopefully with a few more forwards back this week, we can get a bit of a roll on.
Whether it’s Kodi or Turner in the 6, we need our playmakers running. Good front foot ball and players in motion and we’re in business.
After last weeks performance there is literally only one way from here - up!

We play them again in 4 weeks or so.

I agree. But we can’t really have two rookie halves. As bad as Kodi has been, it’s hard to lose that experience from the field. Two rookie halves together might be even more directionless, if that’s even possible. With CHT injured our options for dropping halves due to form are pretty limited. Might be stuck persisting with Kodi for a while.

I’d like it if Turner replaced Kodi, but I’m not sure Brown is ballsy enough for that. Really hope Turner gets a decent spell at half for this game.

Hiku at winger is weird too - if he’s fit he’s one of our best centres...he’s too slow to be a winger and doesn’t offer much there.

I’d be happy with rookies

Kodi doesn’t seem to add leadership or direction, he’s a brilliant ball runner, but can’t seem to consistently work out when to run, and at the moment at imply won’t... imo he’d be great coming on late in both halves at 9 and told to run on quick play the balls... he needs confidence, suspect he can turn it around quickly... hope he can do it at 6, but I think he can do it as bench impact
