I rate Ah Mau ahead of Paasi for consistency. Iggy is a bench prop for mine. He’s good to lift some intensity after 25 mins. I was hoping this year might see Bunty in a starting role, but that’s not happening now.
I concur. Ah Mau is the no frills prop every team needs and is a reliable metre eater. Paasi is more effective on attack but only when hes got a mind to be.

His mind....who has that job?

Ah Mau is solid, Passi has more talent.

Anyways both have more pressure due to injury, no big Nelson, or Bromich somewhere?

The Johns Brothers, Blocker and pretty much the 9 network reckon they grow on trees in New Zealand.

Those Big kiwi forwards and all that.

They probably do. You could walk down the street and find a hundred.

Issue is none of them have the fitness/motivation/work ethic to make it otherwise they would have already made it.

The giant isn't whats rare, its the giant with a good work ethic thats rare.

I hope Blair moves into the 10 role. He's wasted in a attacking position like the second row. Make him earn his money tackling the 115kg monsters. Ah Mau or Paasi off the bench. Apparently we're still looking at off loading Lisone, which is fine by me! As long as it gives a young guy like Frei a chance.

Paasi
Egan
Blair
Harris
Curran
Papalii (His only position. Clearly not a second or prop)

CHT/Nikorima
Burr (as a prop)
Ah Mau
Pulu/Frei

It's about all we got haha!

Who's moving to FB if RTS isn't fit? Fusitua and Hiku have both covered it well in the past, but then who takes their spots?

If Blair plays like he did for the Maoris that will be an OK team.
Still not convinced Papali'i deserves a spot.

Yeah, I don't want Papalii there either but we know he's gunna be.

If have burr starting and a young guy on the bench instead, but it is what it is aye

1- Hiku

Herbert at centre with either Milne or Fus?

Might as well keep Hiku at centre. Keep the continuity of that edge.

I'd play Perham at fullback.

Maybe that’s part of the Fus and Herbert switch plan- having a backline setup that can cover any player dropping out with minimal disruption by having 3 guys who’re more than basically competent in every outside backline position. Shame we’ve got no hope of having the same balance from 6-17.
