Wasn't this exactly what happened to Metcalf, when Frizzell tackled him?

Exactly. Pretty sure both involved defender's knee into attacker's leg. I'm bending over backwards to justify it being foul play on a kicker (strict policy that no contact can be made with kicker's legs of any sort) but really aren't they both just accidental leg-on-leg collisions by a defender otherwise obeying the rules?

As far as I'm aware as long as you're not tipping up the kicker while they're in the air, you're allowed to make a normal tackle on a kicker as long as it's not late. If a kicker goes deep into the line and then kicks, isn't there always a risk their leg is going to collide with a defender irrespective of what the defender is doing?

Updated forecast. Partly cloudy. Isolated showers becoming widespread around midday as westerlies strengthen. Showers and westerlies easing this evening.

Nathan Brown out. Woods in

Big loss, he has been outstanding so far this season

shame to read it’s wet, would have been some pretty attractive footy played in the dry. I’m off to the Sprintcars so won’t see it live, good luck everyone

Not much to cheer the crowd up.
Some of these guys are miles away from first grade.

Halasima. What happened?
3 man tackle on Parker, Parker upright and the 12 had his arm wrapped around the neck and head slammed him from that height. A couple of mins later a late shoulder to the head of the 9, would have seen the sideline for both tackles in first grade
