oh dear, a week for disingenuous PR oriented apologies - Veitchy still the uber bottom feeder there
They can't be serious, notably with Hurrell
I almost feel sorry for Veitch - as soon as I read that 'apology' I thought crikey mate you are really screwed. Worse PR exercise ever.
THE drugs scandal engulfing the Warriors has taken a bitter turn, with veteran winger Manu Vatuvei granted leave on medical grounds.
A club statement on Tuesday confirmed Vatuvei has been given permission to take an indefinite break from football.
It’s the latest development in an ugly situation in which five Warriors players are accused of mixing prescription drugs with energy drinks.
The alleged incident happened two days after last week's Anzac Day loss to Melbourne.
“Following medical advice received today, Manu is now on leave,” the club statement said.
“We would ask that everyone respects his and his family’s right to privacy at this time.
Don't see any need for Thompson tbh - it's the IL argument in reverse - yes he's arguably good at running lines on the edge, but defensively he's pretty woeful (not the Lone Ranger, but consistently a problem)
Arguably? He IS a good line runner, unquestionably. His defence - he's had one bad game as far as I can recall. Generally he's very very good, and he's also very good scrambling. This year in his 5 games he's made 220 tackles, missing 10, 95.65% tackle completion rate which is very good by NRL standards. Hoffman in comparison, in 9 games, 197 tackles, missing 21, 90.3% tackle completion rate. There's more to it obviously, but frankly I think Thompson has been one of our standouts all year when he's been fit.
I almost feel sorry for Veitch - as soon as I read that 'apology' I thought crikey mate you are really screwed. Worse PR exercise ever.
