Nothing much to add except to say theres several players that were "not trying" last week laughing at their coach right now, this is how you loose a locker room.

I don't think he'll ever 'lose' the dressing room, per se. This is a dressing room, which I'll admit has changed somewhat, but 4 years ago wanted Tony Iro as coach (Johnson, Matulino two that made that public). They're quite happy to have a sub-par coach as long as he doesn't push them too hard and can play the role of 'mate' too. Money still comes in. For all the talk of McFadden losing the dressing room, players were always strong in their appraisal of him. They're quite comfortable that if things go pear-shaped the coach can cop the blame again. It's only when the playing squad demands and desires results that coaches lose the dressing room.

So what was different with Bluey and Elliott? Bluey certainly lost them- that year was a more epic shambles than this one. and I recall it bring given as the reason with both Elliot and Anderson too.

Elliott was due to his complex differcult gameplans. Penrith fans will tell u as well when he coached there. The plans needed CIA code crackers to work out

unless this is the game where we chuck off the shackles and offload at will then we will get pumped. Very skinny bench which suggests a open style game we are looking at. If not we are toast

Bluey did, definitely. I kept hearing he was far too overbearing, wanted to know where the players were at all times - during the week, on nights out etc.

Anderson tried to turn them into monsters in the gym and the super aggressive spray approach never lasts too long - look at Maguire, Stuart etc.

Elliott, dunno. Talked in riddles maybe, all too weird for our guys.

Well with Foran out we'll get to see what some of yous wanted and thats a Lino and Ata combination. You guys say Forans crap and we'll be better off with Ata and Lino, well were going to find out if YOUR combination works...

Don't get me wrong, Im all for and Ata and Lino combination but I don't think they're ready to steer the ship. Im not sure if they'll EVER be ready. Im just hopeful. Anyway Im gutted to hear Forans out. Lino and Ata might find it tough without him.

Haha, JJ is in full-on f**ked off fan mode nowadays. It'd be amusing if it wasn't so sad we've all got to that point.

Incidentally, no one particularly 'wanted' Lino and Ata because we thought it'd be better...it was more Kieran was wasting our time with either half-assed or injured performances. I don't think it matters a shit what we do for the rest of the season so I'm not too phased any more.

Yes exactly nobody wanted it but it's hard to understand why they won't try things that might be relevant next year

When your win percentage is 27.4 as an NRL coach I guess I can dig why you'd be trying to win every game you can. This post was not particularly pertinent except I wanted to share that I just found out SK has won 27.4% of his 60 odd NRL games in charge.
