I'll give it a go-

1- Nicoll-Klokstad
2- Tauipiki
3- Pompey
4- Capewell
5- Tuivasa-Sheck
6- Harris-Tavita
7- Metcalf
8- Ford
9- Egan
10- Stowers-Smith
11- Halasima
12- Laban
13- Clark

Res- Healey, Ale, Niukore, Vaimauga
Like it, though I'd start Niukore at prop with Ford coming off the bench

Hudson young gone for Raiders. Horsburgh not picked. Capewell not included. And they will still have Tapine and Papalii for us to have to deal with. Their backs looked good too v Titans.

Guess a few young fellas gunna get a run but this could be ugly again....

Yea massive test this one. Young is obviously a loss but other than Nicholson (and Hopoate since the start of the year), they're at full strength.

We'll do well to stay in the fight. First game at Mt Smart for a few weeks though.. hopefully helps lift the lads.

Shame we will be hamstrung for this one.

The Raiders are strong, even with the outs, so frequently underrated by fans, Sticky is doing a good job with them.

The issue for the Warriors is obvious. How do we keep this defence of ours with Barnett missing and JFH out, and how do we maintain our yardage with those two being the main engine of the Warriors.

Well we have done it without JFH, but taking Barnett out is a step too far.

Still, what else is there but for our brave little band of battlers to go out there one more time against the bully and stand up?

I will be happy if we compete.

Yeah, I think this one is heading for an inevitable L, but I've thought that at times this year...and we thought that with a million out last year v the Panthers and Phins.

FO DWZ.

I honestly feel he's the polar opposite to Brent Tate.

Tate - for me anyway, was a player that I really didn't like (wouldn't go as far as say hate). That was UNTIL he joined us, then instantly he became one of my favorites.

DWZ is the exact opposite. I enjoy(ed) watching him when he was playing for other clubs but I really don't like him for us.

Probably because he was hugely overpaid, couldn’t defend to save his life and was a mistake machine? Always good to see other clubs saddled with that…

PS. I still think we can get a result here.
We've done most the season without JFH tbf. Barnett is a big loss, but I don't necessarily think that we should be aiming just to be competitive.

Big ask at home, but if I were a betting man, I'd still put money on us.

Good to see Ali back named, even if he drops out.
Capewah deserves the captaincy

Still think it should TT>DWZ, and Healey on the bench. Mind, I'm not managing the 2nd placed NRL team so I'll go along with Webster

Another very tough game, even at full strength… close I reckon, but everything I’ve reckoned this season has been wrong… two of the better sides at this point of the year

We have depth but JFH and Barnett are huge losses and Afoa and Jackson just aren’t in the same league.
Who is going to bend the line and provide line speed and aggression to the same level in defence

Let's (and I think we all have) assume Canberra are favourites. But, they are known to make errors and at crucial times. So are we. However, our big home crowd will roar at theirs. It could turn the game.

Webby was ALWAYS gunna pick this team when you think about it.

At the start of the season, I heard respected commentators say Canberra were wooden spoon contenders. I distinctly remember James Graham assessing the warriors season prospects and saying 'meh'.

We are very likely to get run over again by Canberra's forwards and then stung by their fast paced backs. At the start of the season I wasn't expecting in my wildest we'd be second near the mid season. But lets see. Its all a bonus to have a competative team to support, not to be bitter and twisted, shouting at the tele every match, kicking the dog and storming off to the shed at 1/2 time......i still do that (think Storm match) but do it more positively.

I am hoping the team can harness the energy of the home crowd better than last year. We sold out every game past year but lost several. Is there an underlying pressure to perform in front of friends and family that is actually a hindrance to the teams performsnce?
Hopefully this year proves there is not.
