Please no Ika, adds absolutely nothing and walks it into the line. Also don't want to see Wright in the centres again, he's fine on the wing.

Also wouldn't be opposed to the idea of Tomkins/Tui to 6 and Chad to 14 with friend or havili dropping out

Tomkins is not good value this season at all with his injuries, hope he can put together an extended run

Well, no, he's not good value sitting on the sideline, which is what he has done most of the year.

I'll admit that I am a Tomkins fan- but I just can't see how we are a better team without him than we are with him. Forget what he does with the ball for a moment- we always look so much better organised with him on the park.

I like Hurrell, but he hasn't exactly been the flavour of the year on here- I don't understand the sudden urgency to get him back on the park over Tomkins, as if he it what the team has been missing.

Since we barely rotate the 2nd rowers why not Hurrell on the bench with Havilli Vete and Lisone

If Tomkins is fit that is

Considered that, but we are losing an experienced prop and a 80 minute second rower, so might not be the week

6 rookies (not including Gubb and Ikahihifo who are inexperienced themselves) This could get ugly if we're not careful/lucky.

Might be close to the best back line on paper that we have put out all season.

Havilii dumped, or hurt

He's been pretty rubbish imo, although many here think differently

Prefer Lolohea in the centres, I think - Kata and Hurrell are too dodgy

Good to see Friend finally getting a start, don't mind Wright getting dumped although he's been ok.

Not a lot wrong with that side apart from missing Origin players, but that's not really the problem is it

I'm definitely one of those - tbh I can't see where Friend has outperformed Havili at all this year. He averages more runs than Havili, but way less effective in those runs, barely makes any more tackles/minute on the field, and has a higher error and penalty rate. Havili has often looked like he's giving quicker service out of dummy half as well (faint praise, that). Sure, it's a low sample we're pulling from with Havili, but in what he's shown I think he's been at the very least the equal of Friend (though that's hardly something to boast about).

I don't see the point of Lolohea on the bench. May as well start Konny or Maumalo on the bench and use start Lolohea on that right edge to help shore up the fairly inevitable defensive shambles (at least the Roosters are missing half that edge). Otherwise happy that RFM will get some decent minutes (excited to see what he can do) and happy at the return of Tomkins/Konny, although it's a shame Rapira wasn't ready (and I would have started Lisone but I guess we're trying to avoid having Gubb & Vete out there together for long/at all).

Wouldnt mind seeing a 25 min stint of Lolohea in a rover role. Extra playmaker, supporter type thing

We'll have to agree to disagree  I really wish Havili had developed more, but he simply hasn't imo, and his work rate from my observation is pretty low by comparison - Friend's experience, work rate etc are invaluable now, I think... be interesting to see how Tui is used - don't want him to have to do too much defence, he could be electric from dummy half

yeah i probably would have preferred Hurrell off the bench and Lolohea moving in to hooker when Friend goes off.

I haven't been wowed by Havilli. I don't think Friend is a huge improvement, but he is a lot fitter. I don't think either of them really have much of a future at the club in 2015, so I suppose Lolohea on the bench is a move towards the future.

Havilli needs to pack his bags and F.O

Can't believe the defense he gets on here. He is purely rubbish and never takes on the line or put his defenders in 2 minds, very predictable plays.

Rather have Friend on a 1 year and ship chewing gum boy out

How many games has he played? For you to make that opionion.
Not a huge fan but the reason he hasnt played more is that he never takes the line on or not.

Its is his attitidue/fitness or lackthereof is the cause. Obviously his focus lst week would be to actually function n defend.

Friend is done. They need other hooker options.
